From Tea Trekker

Imperial Gold Oolong tea is one of the glories of the China Oolong family. I don’t think that I have ever had anyone revisit the store and declare that they have been anything but enthralled with this excellent tea. One of what is known today as the ‘Green Oolongs’, or similarly, ‘Orchid Oolongs’, Imperial Gold is as valuable in taste as its name indicates.
Imperial Gold Oolong brews perfectly every time; no matter how one challenges it, Imperial Gold Oolong infuses gracefully, with not a trace of harshness or astringency.
Imperial Gold does prefer water that is ‘off the boil’, in which case you will find that it infuses repeatedly, offering up more flavour than any leaf tea has a right to contain. I find that Imperial Gold continues to be a tea that I reach for, as I would an old friend.

Steep 2-5 infusions at 30-90 seconds each
or 1-3 infusions at 2-3 minutes each.
Water temperature should be 175° – 185° F

This tea is a very good, and as the description says it is really hard to over steep it. It is less oxidized than most oolongs, at only 30-40 percent and it has a sort of golden buttery flavor. I tend to use a tablespoon per each 8 oz because I like my tea a bit stronger. A teaspoon just doesn’t give me enough flavor.

I have to say that this is one of my favorite teas. The mug has a slightly floral smell once the tea is drank. This is a very good tea which reminds me of the bagged black tea with milk which my mom used to make for me when i had a stomach ache as a kid(and yes I know this far from black tea).
