Another last pot! I do really enjoy this tea, though, and would certainly consider another tin of it…after I’ve tried some others on my wish list first, though!

Preparation

It feels good to decupboard a tea doesn’t it! Need to start working on that in my cupboard. Too many teas open right now, but I’m not patient to wait to try teas that I get in!

Jaime

This really isn’t patience…it’s so that I can reward myself with more tea! I’m plotting a David’s order next week…and am anxiously awaiting the “special mid-week blend” that Frank hinted at. Though, I’ve got to admit, my cupboard is tidier!! Well, for now, that is…

Meghann M

Lol, I like the way you think. I’ve been stalking David’s site since I first heard mention of Pumpkin Chai. And with a $50 order they ship free! I just don’t have a third cupboard shelf to take over…I technically have 3 shelves if you count the boxes on top of the cuboard, but I don’t count those:)

Jaime

I’m eyeing the fall sample collection myself, which is over halfway to $50, so I might as well get more, right? And samples really don’t count towards your cupboard…because they don’t take up that much space, right?

Yes, my friends take me shopping with them often, because I can almost always find some reason to justify the purchase of anything. And you only have 2 shelves!! We never count the boxes on top.

Meghann M

The fall collection teas sound good. So does the wine collection. The sample sizes really make me feel less guilty! Can’t wait to read your tasting notes when you order. I need to make at least a small dent in my stash soon. Too many great 52teas have been ordered!

Jaime

I’ve got a section of my cupboard dedicated to 52teas bags. Actually, there’s technically two (one shelf has caffeinated blends, the other decafs/herbals). I’m quite proud that I’ve went this long without ordering more (this week will make two if I manage to resist whatever he reveals later)!

Oh, yes, the wine sampler!! Perhaps that should go in my cart as well!

I too have a special 52Teas section. It’s it just crazy

This one taste more like apple crisp than gingerbread. The taste is sweet with just a hint of spice, and that spice is nutmeg and cloves. Not a lot of ginger goin’ on here. Because it’s Zhena’s I used two tea bags for my 10 oz. mug. If I only use one the tea is too weak. That said, this isn’t a bad tasting tisane. The roobios is there but isn’t overly medicinal. The apple is fruity and sweet with out tasting like candy, and while the spice is mild what’s there is nice.

So I figured out a really good use for this! It isn’t the traditional way you use tea, but… I brewed a cup, left the bag in a bit too long to make sure the flavour was a bit stronger. Then… I used the tea as the liquid base to make oatmeal!
I used just plain oats, and it was a nice taste. I always make my own oat flavours by adding spices and fruits. This was quite wonderful and I am going to try making other teas into oatmeal bases to see how it goes.

LENA

ooh, this sounds like a wonderful idea!

This tea has a pleasant flavor but I’m still longing for a stronger ginger flavor. The chocolate in this tea takes a bit away from the taste for me.

This is my favorite in the holiday sampler tin. Not strong on the ginger, but decently spicy. Yum!

I like the apple-y taste to this, but I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s hardly got any spice to it.
