I mostly prefer Japan green teas over Chinese, but for now, I made an exception.
When I started to drink tea (like real tea, not tea bags), this was one of the first ones I tasted. It was strange and new for me, because I never drank green tea before. After that, for a few months, I was afraid to drink green tea again, so I stayed with my favourite black teas. Years passed, I tasted many-many teas (black, white, yellow and green as well) since then, but I always forgot to give another chance to this particular tea.
And finally here I am, giving another chance to the Longjing tea. I was a little bit afraid, because I had bad memories of it, but the scent of the freshly boiled tea soothed me. It’s fresh and flowery, better than I excepted. The first sip let me down a little, it’s not as gentle and mild as japanese green teas, it’s much intense and robustful.
After finishing the whole can, I can surely say, this is not going to be my new favourite green tea, but It’s way more better, then it was in my memories.
Everyone, who likes this tea should try it once at least, maybe you’ll find something in it, that I was unable to reveal.
