drank Orange Blossom by Rishi Tea

The leaves in this tea have so many orange blossoms and smell so tart and citrusy (as they should). The green leaves are nice and long.

I steeped this at 180F for 3 minutes using 1 tsp of leaves. It brewed up a light tangerine liquor.

Flavor is very citrusy, a little tart/astringent, but quite delightful and refreshing. I had this in the late evening and really enjoyed sipping this cup.

I made a successful second steep at the same temperature for 6 minutes and added a 1/2 teaspoon of sugar (just in case it was too tannic). The sugar really calmed down the astringency and made the citrus flavors sweet.

Third steep just tasted like lightly citrus water, so I didn’t finish it.

Live in the cornfields of IL, but not too far from the city. Expecting a baby any day now (due Oct 24 2011). Sticking to mainly herbal and low caffeine teas for now. Trying to encourage my husbands tea drinking, but he adds so much sweetner he may as well just drink diet pop. I love trying new teas, and will try any tea once.
