I can’t believe I haven’t tried this one. It is definitely a Cheapster Steepster tea. Like $5 for 100 bags. I used to enjoy their white peony. I see a box in my future.

do they still make those 2-cup hot pots like we all used at college back in the day? That and a Finum basket would work great I would think.

Tommy Toadman

Yep, thats pretty much what I have but mines 2 quarts and a ceramic infuser cup thingie that would be good for bringing up here, I think I will bring it with me on friday, it would make things alot better here.

This is my favourite bagged Oolong brand. I have a leg up at the distributor, so I get bulk prices by the case. I supply it to a local Chinese restaurant as well and we advertise each other. Prince of Peace has a lovely aroma and beautiful colour. I drink it before and after tai chi or yoga. Sometimes, I blend it with Bigelow Organic Green to really give it a spark.

This was my very first loose leaf tea.

I don’t have much to say about it (since I finished the tea over six months ago as of this writing ) other than I remember it not being as sweet as other versions of Dragon Well.

Maybe this is an older tea bag but I really can’t taste any flavor here. I don’t think I oversteeped or it was too hot. It doesn’t even seem like a white tea.

One of my favorites. I don’t like caffeine so I steep the bag in a little hot water for 30 seconds, then dump it (to get rid of most of the caffeine). Then I fill my 32-oz teapot and let it steep for 5-10 minutes. It ends up very tasty and satisfying. As good as any white tea I’ve tasted. (Note: I haven’t tasted expensive white teas.)

Great tea if you are looking for all the magnificent health benefits of drinking green tea, but want a little variety. White tea is just the young green tea leaves plucked before they mature. It has a milder, less “grassy” taste, compared to traditional green tea. I think it actually may have a very, very subtle sweet flavor.

This is inexpensive tea. Don’t let that stop you from trying it. I enjoyed drinking this tea. I like that the bags come packed inside a zip lock bag. I also enjoy knowing that every time I buy a box I am helping to support an orphanage in China for special health needs children. That in itself is enough reason to try this brand. Mellow in taste. Sure you can buy a lot better but for grocery store tea this is pretty good.

Cofftea – I apologize for deleting your comment I was trying to reply but I obviously don’t understand the console. If you go to popus.com and read their about us page they list a lot of products you have probably used and their charitable policy seems to be company wide

Finding puerh at my local grocery store was such an excitement I could not resist buying a box of puerh teabags even though I had my doubts as to their quality but figured that worse comes to worse they could be used for travel where not the best puerh is a lot better than no puerh. When I brewed my first cup from the $5.75 box of 100 teabags I was impressed with the quality. While it is not at the level of a puerh that can stand up to the rich smooth mellowness of an upper end Menghai or Mengku puerh cake, it is a lot better than a number of the cheap puerh bricks and cakes that I’ve had over the years. As with most puerh teabags I brew them long and will double them up to ensure a single good brew, the result was a slightly earthy (but not to the musty point) cup of puerh with a slightly sweet and smooth taste. I can not complain at the lack of complexity and while this is not one that I would brew in my yixing pot when I am at home it is a puerh that is good enough that I would not feel deprived if it was my only tea on a vacation.

By “Young Green Tea Leaves”, I think they mean Sencha. You are supposed to brew this for 3-5 minutes, but I only leave it in for one since I like my green tea more mild. Prince of Peace Premium Green Tea was not bought by me, but bought by my parents, so I don’t really know where you can buy this.

This tea is not caffeine free as it contains 20mg of caffeine per cup. The string attached to the tea bag is way too long though; I can wrap it around the handle of the mug I use for tea several times. That is really my only complaint with this tea.
