New Reliable AliExpress Tea Store for Puerh

Recently I have been working with a new AliExpress tea seller who has the most extensive list of offerings I have seen anywhere – King Tea. He has been doing his best to offer me a good price. If you are interested in accessing a huge selection of authentic teas from many of China’s best known producers of puerh, this may be a useful source for you. He carries products from the following producers (amongst others):
Anning Haiwan
Chen Sheng Hao
Chang Tai
Menghai Tea Factory
ShuangJiang Mengku
Six Famous Tea Mountains
Xia Guan

I have been dealing with King Tea for well over a year now. Actually, I was his first tea customer in May 2014. I found him while searching for difficult to find ChenShengHao cakes and he had them listed at a very fair price. Overall he has an extensive listing of puerh tea with many choices not always available to western tea buyers. He has also sourced several teas for me.
As with any AliExpress or ebay seller, I always proceed with caution. I can tell you that I have purchased Dayi, S.Mengku, Xiaguan and ChenShengHao products from this seller and I am certain that all items are:
+++Authentic
+++Sold at a very competitive price
+++Packed well for shipment
+++Received tracking number and good on-going communication
+++Delivered to me in 10 – 18 days after placing the order (average about 15 days)

I should mention that we had a rather rocky start as he was starting up and refining his business skills. We have worked through many things in the past 14 months as I have tried to help him better understand tea purchasers from outside the Chinese marketplace. These earlier “growing pains” seem to be gone now and I am quite confident in his ability to serve as a good resource. In addition, he is willing to offer anyone I know his best possible price (the same as the price he has offered me unless his supplier has increased his cost on the item). You only need to mention my Steepster name Dignitea to receive these discounted prices. Sorry, I do not want to post my real name on this general discussion board but those of you who know me can certainly use my actual name when dealing with him.

At this particular point in time I am using his store to pick up (1) new releases and (2) highly regarded teas from past years at a good price. I list below some of these and the price paid so that you have specific points for reference or comparison. Also he will work with you on any tea and quickly drop to his lowest possible price.
$53 2015 DaYi Purple Dayi ‘Zi DaYi’ Raw
$33 2015 DaYi Elephant Mountain ‘Da Ji Xiang Shan’ Raw (a Dayi classic not released since 2006)
$45 2015 DaYi Year of the Sheep ‘Shan Mei Xiang Yang’ Raw (Dayi’s Lunar Year Series)
$25 2015 DaYi Spring Round ‘Chun Yuan’ Raw
$65 2015 Chen Sheng Hao Year of the Sheep Raw
$56 2015 HaiWan Lucky Sheep ‘Da Ji Xiang’ Raw
$52 2014 HaiWan Black Horse ‘Ma Bing’ Raw
$63 2014 Dayi YiWu Zheng Shan Raw (from Dayi’s Select Series of single mountain teas)
$41 2014 Dayi Golden Needle White Lotus Ripe (from Dayi’s Imperial Series)
$59 2013 DaYi Golden Image Raw
$59 2011 DaYi BaDa High Mountain ‘Gao Shan’ Raw
$63 2009 Dayi Dragon Pillar Ripe (from Dayi’s Imperial Series; 2009 was a particularly good year)
Note: Mention Dignitea to receive similar discounted pricing.

Here’s how to order and receive the lowest price:
1) Add your item(s) to your cart.
2) Add a short note in the box under your item and ask him to recalculate your total with the Dignitea discounted price.
3) Click on the button to submit your order BUT do not pay for it.
4) After he gets back to you with a revised total, pay and wait for your order to arrive.

General Disclaimer: If you decide to order from King Tea, there is absolutely no benefit to me. No paybacks; no greater discount; no free tea; nothing! I only wanted to make you aware of another reliable, trustworthy resource with access to an extensive number of factory produced puerh teas.

Thanks for the info. I use 3 ebay sellers now but it’s always nice to know about others that are reliable. Have you tried other teas besides puerh from him?

I recognize about many of the entities from whom he buys. Decent resource.

Ubacat – no, I am only searching for puerh these days and I gather that puerh is his main thing as well. His other teas seem to be the general chinese market packaged tea (in my opinion).

Rich – I’ve invested a great deal of time and effort in this guy. This has been of benefit to me but it seems reasonable to offer the resource to others as well. After all, he is a new and aspiring business man trying to “grow” his business; we are consumers looking for reliable sources. Seems like a good fit to me.

His store looks excellent.

I placed an order. Waiting to see what discount I end up with.

DigniTea said

Sounds good. I think you’ll be satisfied since many store list prices are already very low. He always seems to find a way to drop it a bit more for people he hopes will be good, repeat customers. At least that has been my experience.

There were problems applying my discount so he ended up giving me a free cake for the amount of the discount. He could only offer me a $10 discount. I bought four Dayi ripes, a Chen Sheng Hao ripe, and a Mengku ripe. Insane purchase but some good stuff from 2006 and 2007.

Would love to see you do tasting notes on the Golden Needle and Dragon Pole teas!

I’m likely to hit the 2009 Dragon Pillar soon; however, I don’t usually try any Dayi product until it has aged quite a bit so I doubt I’ll be working with the 2014 Golden Needle any time soon. At the moment I’m drinking 2009s and earlier. I do have a 2007 Golden Needle I’m likely to drink soon. I am sure I’ll have notes on this one and the 2009 Dragon. Personally, I think these two production series are two of their very best ripes.

I will vouch as well. I have had a good experience with John at King Tea. I am with DigniTea I recommend but no kickbacks. I always say recognize the service you get and share with others. Thanks D, I found him to be a good seller on Aliexpress and he needs some recognition.

Have you purchased anything other than the Golden Image? If so, you should add it here as another example.

I think he will get another order from me this week. Just got to figure out where to put it and how to sneak it in.
He has done well in my book.

I have a solution for you, mrmopar. Have the items shipped to me. I will store them for you, and taste them regularly to ensure they are aging properly. Then I will disappear, taking the stash to my Carribean hideaway. Oops, scratch that last part.

Hah Rich! That is my line!
I think the Legend cake and the Better With Age cake will be on the order tonight. I think I may have to disappear if I get caught with another order!

mrmopar said

And the Green dragon cake.

MzPriss said

I was wondering how you got away with the most recent one you posted on Insta Mrmo

mrmopar said

@MzPriss, I was cold busted! I have to intercept the next two. On a good note all my cakes are in one of the pumis now. Now how to get the next orders in……
