Does anyone have the Krups variable temp glass kettle?
I thought I had picked my kettle! The Chef’s Choice has a,l the features I want but I didn’t find it attractive and there is absolutely nothing I can find to tell me if it is BPA free. The Breville is attractive but definitely has BPA and doesn’t go below 175F.
Tin Roof Teas suggested the Krups and I love the way it looks! It has some good reviews, it says the lowest temp setting is 175 F but it has a one hour hold warm feature that keeps the water at 167 F, which is great for my more delicate white teas.
The Adagio varieTea only holds temp for thirty minutes. I hope to buy this weekend, so if anyone has experience with this kettle, let me know!

My boyfriend has just a regular old electric kettle of theirs and it’s great. Based on using that one I would get this one. It’s quick, and I haven’t broken it yet so that’s a positive.
That’s the one! I am glad to hear someone has had a positive experience with Krups! Williams-Sonoma carries some of their products, but not this. Every single electric kettle I looked at has at least one or two bad reviews about them not lasting long, but most people seem to love them. I like the looks of this one and the fact that it holds the temp for an hour instead of a half hour. Tin Roof Teas is selling it for $99.00 but they are sold out. The new shipment is supposed to come Friday, so I really really hope to go Saturday, Sunday, or Monday and pick it up…because I am not nearly as patient as I used to be, especially with tea related things!
It’s a huge benefit because his stove isn’t wired right so trying to heat water on there takes ages. It doesn’t get enough regular use beyond me using it several times over a weekend, but I think he’s had it for 7-8 months now and there have been no problems. I hope you don’t have to wait long to get it!
