Iron tea pot came without handle attached

I received a lovely case iron teapot for Christmas. The handle was not attached to the teapot, just laying on top. I can’t figure out how to attach it. Any suggestions?

you can’t post pics directly to steeptser. but you can put them on something like instagram or photobucket then post a link. i just thought a pic might help to see how the handle would go on. do you know where the teapot came from, the company, etc?

I put a photo on the Steepster Facebook page

Steepster has a Facebook page? I have been in here every day for almost four years and didn’t know that?

I took a peek. Are their holes just below where the lid sits? It looks like it in the pic. Look at this one from Teavana

mmm. that is odd.
I own a genuine iwachu tetsubin, and the handle cannot be taken from the pot (or taken off to be replaced), in fact, you’ll need an elephant to get it off.

Did you find a solution to your problem? I received my purchase of a vintage cast iron teapot today and my handle was detached; I am hoping to find a solution as this set of teapot and trivet is sooo darn cute!
