Tea with my Kitty

My kitty, Coco Puff, is having tea with me. Today she is tasting a homemade chicken broth with a faint rosemary splash. She is liking it.

I’m having Lemon Ginger herb plus probiotic by Bigelow. I have to admit my purpose for drinking this tea is twofold. First, it is for health as I am on the mend from a med. problem and second it is my morning tea with Coco Puff. I have to say I’m not too keen on this herbal tea, however I have blended it with a black tea that makes it quite good.

Oh, Coco has finished her tea. Yes it’s a high score. She is licking her paw and washing her face. That is the ultimate approval. The rosemary chicken broth will go into Coco’s cupboard.

My tea, Lemon Ginger by Bigelow will also go into my cupboard, although not as a stand alone.

Perhaps Coco Puff would like to try Catnip tea? It’s becoming more popular.

That sounds terrific. Do you know who carries it. I’m on the west coast, USA.

I know that 52 Teas were selling it at one point earlier this year. Ah here you are they still have it in stock.

Failing that you could always make some yourself, pop a few leaves into an empty tea sac and add boiling water for a few minutes, then wait to cool.

I was doctoring my cat with some calendula, steeped strong (good for ringworm, skin ailments if the Internet is to be be believed), and he seemed to like the scent and taste of it.

Hmmmm, that sounds interesting. My kitty has skin issues, I may have to do some research!

California tea house sells tea for dogs (herbal chamomile blend that anyone could drink), but I thought it was cute that it was specifically marketed for dogs so I bought it and all four of my spaniels stood in front of their bowls staring back and forth between the tea and me with questioning looks. I was very disappointed :(

I haven’t tried to share tea time with my cats yet (yes, I have a zoo of pets, haha), but my bosom-kitty (he’s my Bestie, lol) shows obsessive preference for cups of coffee. I don’t let him have any, of course, but he tries!

I had a liver and white springer spaniel named Root Beer. Yes, he did try some root beer, but only once. If he was still with us, I’m sure he would like tea for dogs.
