Spammers on Steepster
https://steepster.com/delowart
Just saw this one reply to a note on my feed, and had to do a double-take. My mind couldn’t differentiate spam-bot from meme.
Another oldy:

They’ve begun inflating teas (well, they’ve likely been doing that a while but this one was nice enough to leave a comment).
https://steepster.com/willheikkinen okay uh I just realized there’s a mini pandemic on the top-rated teas
Okay, these are all on the same tea (https://steepster.com/teas/white-2-tea/47102-2014-new-amerykah-2 just scroll down and you’ll find a BUNCH):

These are all mostly over a year old, so too old for me to deal with, but if people ever worried about inflation on the top teas, welp. These bots are almost exclusively posting together on all the same teas (take these top two for example). They all have vague, third-person profiles with links to companies and services…

It also looks like a bunch of tea by Green Tea Lovers were inflated PURELY by these spam posts.

Also can knock almost every recent post on this W2T entry:

The older ones are fine, though. I’ll try and list them all:

^ This one had the foresight to write an actual tea-related profile, while still CLEARLY being a COMPANY.

The really creepy thing is some of these bots are just third-person bios of people, that link to twitters that robotically spit out advertisement and third-person facts about the person.
Uuuh also it looks like some spammer has added non-tea locations to the Places tab:
https://steepster.com/places/5483-fontile-kitchen-and-bath-vancouver-british-columbia (a tile finishing store, nothing to do with tea….)
