BTW, we do have captcha set up on the account creation. It’s possible they’re getting around it somehow, or some of these spammers could have been manually entered by SEO farms too.

BTW, we regularly get a lot of spam signups. It would be cool for that to not be the case, but it is what it is. I’m mostly worried about the ones that try to post spam content in the discussions or create fake teas/places. I don’t worry about the ones that just create accounts. So you don’t need to worry about posting them all here, though I do appreciate and admire the dedication! :)

Maybe the captcha needs to be one of those that requires you to identify all the pictures with streets or some such. I regularly fail those and I’m a person. LOL

The forums are still locked for me, and I have since deleted the internet history, still doing it. So I don’t know if it’s my problem or Steepster in general.
Alright, I was seeing the fresh ‘all discussions’ page but then I updated one of my forum posts and it went back to four days ago, the same threads in order that I mentioned above. This never happened before.
Hmm, sounds like it could be some weird caching issue but it’s hard to say for sure. Could you maybe take a screen shot and send the details via email? It might be easier to debug that way…
I haven’t had the problem for a few days now, and any screen shot I would have taken would have looked normal anyway. So I don’t know what the problem was.
Trick to make already axed spammers disappear from the forums? Edit one of your own posts (even if you just add a space on the end) and the spammers will disappear.
