92 Tasting Notes
Had this at a hospital tonight- only choice, but glad that I at least had a choice besides coffee. It was a tea bag (not loose like the picture) and not bad considering that it’s cheap and generic. For basic black tea it seems to be fine- I drank if straight and it tasted pretty good! My mom has been drinking Lipton tea for as long as I can remember, so I do have a “warm fuzzy” about this tea. :)
Yummy! I could sit and smell this stuff all day. Just tried my first cup steeped in water then added milk and sugar in the spirit of chai. Very good! Then I decided I needed another cup right after- seems the addictive nature that I read about is true. This time I used the “traditional” preparation (suggested on the side of the box) in a pot with water and milk according to the directions. Added some sugar. Heavenly!
Had 2nd tea bag out of variety pack yesterday afternoon. Actually not as bad as I remember. Still wouldn’t buy this, but not unpleasant to drink either.
The variety pack is finito and I don’t know how I’m going to entertain myself now!
Finally was able to try a cup of this today. Didn’t need to add anything to it- no bitterness, just ginger peachy goodness with a good tea flavor. Going to buy a tin tomorrow. This will become a regular tea. It’s nice to find a black tea that can be so refreshing!
I remember reading you post that you wanted to try this. =) I’m glad you found another one that you enjoy.
Thanks- me too. Hate that I had to drive all the way to Books A Million to try it! Wish they served this at other places besides their Joe Muggs, but oh well.
