A blend of lemon myrtle, lemon balm, lemongrass, lemon verbena, lemon peel and some sun-dried lemon slices along with natural lemon flavors–which I felt was bold and awesome enough that perhaps some folks would like to make a tea out of, or perhaps add in with whatever teas they are steeping for a little extra lemon zing.

Remember when I said that I thought this tisane would be GREAT for flavoring matcha? I was right. 1tsp of matcha whisked into 8oz of the tisane. The lemon is evident, but doesn’t over power the matcha. There’s no typical lemony “bite” so a bit of ginger would do this good. Without it, it’s more of a lemon hard candy flavor. I don’t drink tisanes by themselves… BUT I do love flavoring my matcha with tisanes (so I don’t add more caffeine). So I’m gonna take this one and buy another pouch for my friend… UGHFRANK! =D

Somehow this tisane isn’t weak at all, but strong, fragrant and uber citrus-y! I love anything lemon, unless it’s that Pledge/artificial lemon. (I don’t mind smelling that, but don’t want to consume it.) This tastes like I’ve added a squeeze of fresh lemon to an already energizing tisane. I definitely want to try this with other teas/tisanes – perhaps add mint, or strawberry. Yum!

What do you mean by “somehow this tisane isn’t weak at all”?… it seems as if you’re saying you think all tisanes are weak. It’s definitely a good blender tisane. I haven’t tried any of the suggestions you’ve made, but I have tried black tea (Irish Breakfast) and matcha.

KeenTeaThyme

Most tisanes I’ve tried that are just one flavor, such as this, tend to be too plain – for me. But I’m all about spicy foods and super bold tea. Just a preference, I guess. I’ll definitely have to mix this with the new matcha – my first! -that I’ve ordered. Thanks for the idea! :)

Cofftea

Gotcha. Yeah this is definitely good hot or cold w/ matcha. You could also make a frozen lemonade using frozen unsweetened berries. I can see this even being good sweetened so it’s more like a matcha lemonade even though sweetening isn’t my thing.

KeenTeaThyme

I have the world’s largest sweet tooth! I’m 30 and still get excited to find new candies. ;) So I’ll have to try a matcha lemonade, although I’ll be “good” and opt for Splenda over sugar. I love blending up strawberry lemonade smoothies in the summer; if it works with matcha I’ll spread the word! :)

artificial junk… shivers lol. Raspberry’s my fave. YUM. :)

I LOVE THIS STUFF! I had been holding on to my pouch because I figured … oh… it’s lemonade. Big whoop. Boring!

Not!

Over the course of the last four or five days, I have been sipping this iced every evening. It is incredibly refreshing and better than lemonade in my opinion. It is sweet, soothing (I am sipping it hot right now, because I have a touch of a sore throat that I am hoping will not develop into anything more serious. I am just glad it hasn’t yet affected my taste buds). It is delicious hot, but even better iced. Nice with honey!

Lovely, well balanced, smooth. I can’t wait to try adding this to other teas and see what I come up with.

Cofftea

Definitely suggest matcha.

My twin in all things including tea KeenTeaThyme (KiTT) sent me a sample of this that I am just now trying. (I have a lot of samples to try – so much tea, so little time! This really lemon flavored but not in a bad way at all. More in a "man I could gulp this down in a heartbeat kinda way! I had it iced very refreshing. I need that today as it seems everyone here at work is literally working my last nerve!

My favorite way of drinking this is hot mixed with matcha.

I will have to try that some time!

My boy and I are relaxing after some intense yoga with a nice glass of iced Lemon Aid. This is better than lemonade and better for you. No sugar necessary. Smooth, bold, naturally sweet, herby, lemony goodness. Since it’s not a permanent I might just have to order some herbs and try to make some myself.

If something has lemon in it, I will give it a try. This stuff rocks. I drink it straight hot or cold. It has a nice balanced flavor that is naturally sweet. I tried adding honey once, but found it was unnecessary. It might work well mixed with another tea to add a bright accent.

I love lemon beverages — really any sweet lemon desserts — and this tea definitely brings you a huge punch of lemon flavor. It would be a great tea to take if you’re sick. Just sweeten with some honey and you’re good to go. Like some other reviews have mentioned, it’s good straight, but because it’s such an essential flavor, it would go great in a blend with any other type of tea where you want to bring that zing.

Sipdown! 75/365

Swap sample I’ve had for ages and never tried. It might be from KittyLovesTea? Anyways, it is lemony. Quite lemony! Tastily lemony, actually. I’m pleasantly surprised. No cleaner flavours here, just a bright, crisp lemon. Probably would make a fantastic iced tea. As is, I’m drinking it cold, and it’s yummy. I’m not typically one for lemony herbals like this, but the fact that it’s pure lemon and not mixed with various other herbal ingredients is what makes it great.

I had this tea when I was feeling under the weather, and honestly, this tea worked great for me. I haven’t been able to find it in a while but I am still searching. If anyone knows where I can get it contact me – Mickey Markoff
