From Bitterleaf Teas

A must-have tea year after year, this budget-friendly Yashixiang (lit. “Duck Shit fragrance”) dancong perfectly demonstrates why this varietal is so loved, offering a crip honeysuckle fragrance (金银花) that lingers.

This unique and enchanting fragrance is accompanied by a sugary sweetness and balanced flavour. Surprisingly, this tea also has a noticeable milky quality, something usually associated with more expensive, higher altitude productions.

We strongly recommend comparing this side by side with its high mountain counterpart to experience the differences in mouthfeel and texture. This comparison also highlights this tea’s value though, which handily makes its home in the upper end of the daily drinker category.

Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.

Ordered a set of dancong oolongs from Bitterleaf, my first order from the company. I am definitely impressed with their first offering! This is the best Yashi Xiang I’ve tried without a doubt.

Aftertaste lingers 30-60 seconds. Nice sweetness that crescendos in later steeps.
