Finished up the last of my bags of this. I am having a good time clearing out some teabags at work, though then I will need to get something in here to replace it. I have a mad desire to buy one of David’s Tea’s perfect tea mugs (http://www.davidstea.com/accessories/the-perfect-tea-mug) but recognize it as unnecesary. I just think it would make tea at work so much easier, since I’m always brewing for one. Maybe the beau will clue in and get me one as a semi-surprise someday : )

I hear ya on the mug. The fact those mugs come with a lid thrills me.

Uniquity

I’m hoping the beau decided to check Steepster today and read this…I’ve been hoping for weeks that it would come to him on his own, but I figuer a big prod might help. : )

Daddyselephant

We….have four >.> We love them. I’ve got a friend who swears by his at work. I think they are well worth the money! (Hint hint, beau!) I just couldn’t resist the pink spring one!!!

Gong__Fu_Fighter

Nothing prods better than mysterious packages showing up on the door step…;)

QuiltGuppy

They have a pink one? I didn’t see it on the website. :( I think we need some DavidsTeas here in the US. At least in Michigan.

Uniquity

I’m sure they’ll make their way down eventually. The rate of expansion for them is pretty surprising, to me at least. However, if tea really does become just the trend that major news media like to say it is, then they’ll all get shut down at some point too : (

Daddyselephant

It’s one of these, QuiltGuppy http://www.davidstea.com/what-s-new/2011-spring-collection-perfect-mugs We actually have all three of those, they’re so pretty!

Debus

Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more, a nudge is as good as a wink to a blind man.

QuiltGuppy

Thank you, ladykittyKat! I ordered two… The white with lime and the pink. And some tea… Sigh… Another package to smuggle into the house! ;)

Uniquity

I’m so glad I’ve encouraged everybody to buy more things! I want one for home and one for work, but I can’t deide on colours, therefore it’s not up to me. : )

Enjoying a nice cup of the 1990s before bed. Lazy, leave the bag in the cup raspberry sweetness…just a touch of honey. Pure nostalgia.

Oh my god, I agree! This totally reminds me of the 1990’s too!

I needed to make a pitcher of iced tea today to keep my son and hubby from drinking soda’s all day and so I remember AmazonV telling me and Cofftea that we haven’t lived until we have had raspberry zinger iced tea.

So hoping my son and hubby would share AmazonV’s enthusiasm for this tea I decided to make it and here’s how I did it 4 bags of lipton (the large bags) black tea and 4 bags of Raspberry zinger steeped 15 mins in 2 cups of boiling hot water for 15 minutes then added one cup of sugar and 6 cups of filtered water and VOILA.

So I did a taste test on my son first as he is the most picky of us all and he took a sip and said “You might just be onto something here” with a big smile on his face we all liked it and I will definitely make it again. AmazonV recommends making this with raspberry lipton + Raspberry Zinger but I didn’t have any raspberry lipton. Thanks for the recommendation AmazonV!!! You rock! :)

If you like raspberry flavored iced teas try it!

AmazonV

a pitcher never even survives dinner around me and my mom :) glad it worked for your family too- nomnomnom raspberry!

SoccerMom

I am so glad you recommended it. Thanks:)

JacquelineM

Gotta try this!!

This is another Celestial Seasonings hibiscus fest. However, there’s also some solid (if not terribly natural) raspberry flavor. It’s pleasantly tart, and, on the whole, pretty enjoyable. Not the best tisane out there, but not bad for the price either.

From a sampler of Celestial Seasonings herbals. Definitely raspberry, and definitely zingy. The spice mix blends well with the raspberry flavoring. Very nice, and would be good iced as well.

Drinking this iced. It’s still kind of meh for me. My order of Upton Rote Grutze came in this afternoon, though, so I’ll be having GOOD iced tea soon.

Chantra

Hi there, hope you have a good afternoon so far. I’ve tried tea that has a sort of fruit and fragrance flavor but I can’t seem to get into it with hot water. Does tea like this taste better cold?

Alex

I much prefer my fruity teas cold. They’re very refreshing when it’s hot out, and I live in Florida so it’s usually hot out. :)

Love raspberries & the tangyness of the fruit shines through in this tea. Very sour & very fruity!

This herbal has be best raspberry flavor I have tried! I like it plain. I just tried it with a teaspoon honey for my throat (I’ve been really sick) and the tangy/sweet contrast was mouthwateringly good.

Can’t wait to try it iced mixed with black tea.

If you pride yourself on being a tea connoisseur (raises hand), then you probably have noticed something about raspberry tea: it’s either really “fake” and overly sweet, or it’s pretty freaking awesome. It’s one of those teas that’s a hit or miss. Well, the Raspberry Zinger from Celestial Seasonings is a hit. Big-time. Like bases-loaded, let’s-score-the-winning-run sort of hit.

My favorite thing about this tea is the tartness you can detect: nothing sugary, but a taste slightly sour, like it should be with a raspberry tea. My second favorite thing about the tea is the wonderful aroma. Seriously, candles should smell so good. Basically I’m saying that I love the taste and the smell, so what else do you need?

I’ve never drank the tea iced (I’m a sucker for a cup of hot goodness), but I’ve heard that it makes fantastic iced tea. The listed ingredients for the tea are hibiscus, rosehips, roasted chicory, orange peel, blackberry leaves, natural raspberry flavor with other natural flavors (contains soy lecithin), raspberries and raspberry leaves. Just brew your bag in about 8 ounces of boiling (or near-boiling, in my case) water for around 5 minutes (4 to 6, the company says), and enjoy!

So this smells like raspberry. I steeped this up a short time. This tasted like raspberry but with a tartness. I liked the raspberry part but the tartness perhaps the hibiscus that seems to be in alot of fruit blends made this score lower. I did enjoy the raspberry though.

Robert Godden

Just a personal preference, but adding hibiscus to a tea is like improving chocolate by adding gravel. I prefer my hibiscus in the garden and not in my cup.

silvermage2000

Lol I know I kind of agree It’s just I got some as a gift and I like raspberry so I wanted to try it. Thanks for the comment.
