From DAVIDsTEA

Florida flashy
Ready for spring break? Try this sweet, citrusy cocktail of oranges, tangerines and lemongrass. It’s got hibiscus and beetroot to turn it a natural shade of hot pink, plus blackberry leaves for a sunny burst of Vitamin C, apple and carrot for extra sweetness, and eucalyptus leaves for kick. Sound irresistible? Try it iced. In a martini glass. With a splash each of cointreau and gin. And a paper umbrella. Caffeine-free.

Ingredients: Hibiscus blossoms, apple pieces, carrot flakes, blackberry leaves, eucalyptus leaves, lemongrass, beetroot pieces, freeze-dried tangerine/orange slices and artificial flavouring

This tea is suh-weet! I don’t mind it hot, but I’d rather drink something else. But iced? It’s perfection!

It is so delicious, with a great medley of fruity flavours great for an iced drink that is very sweet. There’s the softer flavour of strawberries, apples, there’s a lovely soft floral accent, and then a citrusy kick! It’s neither plain and sweet nor too tangy – it’s a playful, zingy blend of both worlds.

If you have kids, I’d say this is a great alternative to sweet drinks loaded with additional sugars. Plus you can always throw in some lemon if you like to taste! I made this in my home (no kids here) where we rarely stock iced tea, and it disappeared in no time! The bright red/pink colour, too, will probably trick kids into thinking they’re drinking their Kool-aid wannabe stuff. But nooo… It’s tea! So great! It looks like summer, it tastes like summer; good all ’round!

This tea is almost overwhelmingly pink grapefruit smell when I open up the bag. I couldn’t believe it! I’ve been fighting a headache off and on for the last couple of hours, so I didn’t really know if I should attempt this one but something in me decided I should.
It is lovely! I know I say that a lot about the teas that I try, but that’s such a great way of describing how I feel about it.
Brewed it still has a strong pink grapefruit smell. It also has this rich pink colour that is gorgeous.
Taste… MMMMMMMMM I added sugar. I always add sugar. But it took any major tart flavour that I knew was going to be in there out. It’s now just a nice refreshing citrus-y tea. I bet this one would be nice iced.

I quite enjoy a bit of tartness in teas (I love Elf Help!), so I was looking forward to this one (after everyone else’s negative comments about the tartness!). I’ve iced this one to have with dinner as per the general recommendation, and am really enjoying it! Though I think the little bit of agave I added to the steeper is taking away from the tartness. Will try it virgin next time. All in all, I found it easy to drink, and quite sweet.

I picked this one from the 5 teas of DAVIDs Spring Collection because of the smell at the store. Also, other people were all excited that Pink Flamingo was coming back this year.

I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would. I had to buy it after smelling it in the store. It smelled just like grapefruits and I love anything citrusy – especially grapefruits. I’ve only tried one cup but it tasted too much like vegetables – carrots and beets. I’m going to try another cup this week and see if its any better.

I keep trying to like this but it is too much. I tried cold brewing it and it is just too hibiscusy. I’m really glad I only got 25g of this.

I just love citrusy teas (if that is a word) and this one is definitely citrusy :) I’ve had this a few times on its own and its quite tasty and I also mix it with the skinny tea to make the skinny tea more palatable.

I didn’t really think I was going to like this. I’m not a big fan of grapefruit, or grapefruit flavored things, and I only checked with the other Steepster reviews after buying the tea, so I was pretty nervous about not liking this. I love lemongrass though (my favorite tea to this day is Exotica) and I figured if anything, it was going to taste kind of like a V8 splash tea what with the carrots, apple, and beetroot.
Luckily, it didn’t. It doesn’t taste much like grapefruit to me either but what would I know? I don’t even remember the last time I had grapefruit. It’s quite strong, tart even but I added agave to tone down the tartness and the end result is really quite nice. Although I bought this tea when it was still fairly chilly outside, I must say I do prefer it iced.

It’s just surprising that a tea with no grapefruit could taste exactly like grapefruit.
