I had to get my morning matcha fix this past weekend while I was remote in Toronto for the tea festival, and one of those mornings I was at Eataly grabbing breakfast. The quality of this was honestly pretty bad. Despite the rich colour, it was just over sweetened to the point of tasting more like a cereal milk beverage than a matcha. Like, drinkable but definitely not the type of matcha I’m used to starting my day with. I will say, I thought the ice cubes it came with were very cool though. Very large, near perfect cubes that had such an impressive clarity to them! Some of the nicest cafe ice I’ve seen in ages.
