From Orientaleaf tea

The classic Golden Flower Fu Brick Tea of On Taoism Tea Factory is a hallmark of our tea house.

We offer two options:

One is black-wrapped. The tea leaves come from grade one dark tea from Lincang, Yunnan, and the tea aroma is more intense.
The other is red-wrapped. The tea leaves come from particular grade one dark tea from Fengqing, Yunnan, and the tea aroma is deeper.
Both kinds of two teas are produced through the post-fermentation and flowering processes in Jingyang. The buds in the red packaging are tenderer, and the ones in the black packaging are more durable for brewing.

These two high-quality compressed tea cakes were produced in 2020. Their unique ability to be stored for a long time and transform, resulting in a more mellow taste, sets them apart.

Its most distinctive feature is the remarkably high density of the golden flowers in the compressed tea cake. These golden flowers, a beneficial microorganism, are a sign of high-quality Fu Brick Tea. Workers directly split the tea cake in half when it left the factory to emphasize this feature. You can easily see the dense golden flowers in the tea cake when you receive the tea. As mentioned in the previous blog, the number of golden flowers is a crucial indicator of the quality of Fu Brick Tea. The more golden flowers, the better the quality.

This Fu Brick Tea, with its unique round cake shape, fosters the growth of the golden flower fungus traditionally and naturally. Unlike the brick shape of traditional pressed tea, this tea undergoes a unique post-fermentation process with water from Jingyang in Jingyang. This process, which involves controlled exposure to moisture and air, enhances the tea’s flavor and aroma. The rich and high aroma of the tea can be experienced even before brewing, thanks to the cotton paper packaging.

The Golden Flower Fu Brick Tea offers a unique taste and brewing experience. The tea leaves, known for their durability and resistance to brewing, can be brewed more than 15 times. The taste is a delightful combination of fresh, sweet, and returning to sweetness, with a clear and bright soup base. The tea factory of On Taoism is a clean workshop, ensuring the tea is of high quality and does not require washing.
