Oy vey. I don’t often let myself run out of this one, but I’ve got a few other bedtime herbals in my cupboard at the moment so I’m not letting myself restock until I’ve cleared through a few of those. You don’t really need more than one of those at a time, let’s be reasonable.

But being entirely unreasonable, I love this tea. It’s the best bedtime herbal I’ve ever had, and I love keeping it around even for days where I just need to take a few deep breaths. I think that’s how T2 want to market it as well, not so much as a bedtime one but just a relaxing one. Whatever. It’s the best bedtime herbal I’ve ever had. I’ve said it before (literally a few lines ago) and I’ll say it again.

SEE YOU AGAIN SOON, DARLING!

Considering how often I mention the fact I’m not a fan of floral teas, it surprises me how many of my bedtime herbals contain chamomile and lavender. For some reason, these are the blends I lean towards at night as they almost always do the job of sending me off into the land of nod.

I picked up a cube of Gone Surfing with my T2 voucher on Saturday and made this for bedtime last night. The aroma from this was heavenly. In fact I just laid in bed sniffing this for ages before I even took a sip, and that alone made me sleepy and relaxed. The chamomile is the main star of this tea, with lavender and rose blending beautifully with it, and the spearmint toning the whole thing down so that it barely registers as floral at all.

Did it do the job of sending me into a nice snooze? You bet it did. Did I have an amazing night’s sleep? Ah, well, no… I didn’t. I woke up several times during the night and had some pretty bizarre dreams. This is not something I’m used to at all. I’m going to give the tea the benefit of the doubt though as I felt so relaxed after drinking it. Hopefully the weird dreams were nothing to do with the tea!

I suffer from terrible period cramps and haven’t found anything other than painkillers to make it better – until I found this tea. Apart from how delicious it tastes, I believe the chamomile/lavender blend in this tea has amazing medicinal properties that relaxes me so much that it actually cures my cramps! Don’t know what I would do without this tea. Also perfect before bedtime. I can’t recommend this enough!

Lovely and fresh- the spearmint in this chamomile tea is so refreshing and light. It reminds me a bit of Deliciously Dreamy, but with a mintier note. A great tea with a cool name.

I rarely drink this because I still can’t make my mind up about it. It was the first tea I have had with lavender in it. So the first time I made up a pot and realised it was very floral and I did not like it, I blamed the lavender. However, I think it is the strong chamomile taste that I dislike the most. The reason I have rated it so high, and continue to drink it, is because it is super relaxing! I have insomnia and this is the only thing that can relax me enough to fall asleep.

Yet another sleep blend! This one’s a blend of chamomile, lavender, spearmint, passionflower, rose, linden, and lemon balm. It reminds me a little of Twinings Superblends Sleep, but it’s just not as flavourful. It actually tastes quite “flat” to me – mostly lavender, but with a background of chamomile. There’s not much of anything else. I was looking forward to the spearmint, but it’s not really there; maybe there’s a tiny hint of background sweetness, but it’s just as likely I’m imagining it.

I’ve tried this one once before, I think, although some years ago now. I remember really liking it, so I’m not sure if something’s changed between now and then. Unless my tastes have changed more than I thought they had…

I found the passionflower effective in the Twinings, but it did give me weird dreams so I’m hoping to avoid that here if I can. I’m drinking it a good couple of hours ahead of bedtime to try and help me relax, with the intention of avoiding the worst excesses. I did find it a little drying, which isn’t excellent in a pre-bedtime tea. I find I get thirsty during the night anyway. It’s not astringent, as such, just…very herbal?

I can’t say I really like this one for it’s flavour; it needs something to brighten it up. Lemon, maybe? A decent quantity of spearmint might have helped. Maybe my bag just needs a good shake! I’ll be trying this one again, so I’m not going to alter my previous raring for now. There’s time for it to prove itself yet!
