From Teaopia

This fruity Rooibos is a blend of safflower blossoms, lemongrass, lemon peel, mint and orange blossoms. Surprisingly, the combination of these ingredients come together to create a peachy-lime flavour. This tea is great served hot or iced for tea and fruit lovers.

I told myself I wouldn’t buy anymore tea… but this was on sale 75% off!! how could I resist?!
so I made a big batch to ice, and it was pretty dang good. Heavy on the rooibos and light on the flavouring but I was really in the mood for it. Yummmm!
The scent reminds me of grapefruit, but I suppose that is the combo of orange, lime and lemongrass? Either way, I’m looking forward to drinking down my big pitcher tomorrow.

Sipdown, 808!

This is pretty interesting! I think I was under the impression that it was a pepperminty rooibos, so had been avoiding drinking it, but it’s actually pretty citrusy and refreshing. Kind of reminds me of DT’s Razzleberry, but without the icky stevia. The lemongrass works very well here. Probably would be great cold-brewed, actually! Thanks for some of this one Indigobloom!

Hmmm maybe you thought it was “icy” like that brand of mint excel gum?
I miss Teaopia, never thought I’d say that!

Kittenna

Yeah, something along those lines.

I don’t really miss them, but had very little experience with them before they were gone!

Indigobloom

funny I remember thinking something similar when I looked at it on the shelf, back two years ago lol
Ah probably best that way you can’t miss it. They were pretty good, for a local place!

I have a tin of this at home and a smaller tin at the office.

I first tried it cold brewed at home and it makes an amazing iced tea. Minty and citrus-y and sweet without needing added sugar.

I even enjoy it hot, but as with other Rooibos teas, I have to be very careful with steeping it too long – something that happens far too often at work when I get sidetracked. I either need a timer or this tea just goes back to living at home and cold steeping.

Teaopia’s best flavored Rooibos. When I first tried this, I was intrigued by the level of flavors going on: you have hints of citrus, mint, then rooibos. And man, I loved it. Before really trying Teaopia’s teas, this Rooibos was on top of my list then, and still is now. Having tried the majority of what Teaopia has to offer: you can’t go wrong with this.

I think this is a nice tea for the morning after New Years Day where I drank entirely too much wine at dinner.

This really is the perfect summer time iced tea. It is refreshing, leaves a nice lingering cool sensation in your mouth and needs very little if any sweetening.
