5 Tasting Notes
I have just finished my box of Numi Rooibos and have grown to enjoy it.
I am not too familiar with rooibos teas but for me it was the hay like smell that I had to overcome before drinking this one. I don’t know if that same grassy or hay like smell accompanies other rooibos teas as well. That being said I have had it hot and cold and both are really good. A dark coppery color and a full taste. Good with honey and lemon.
I would recommend this tea to anyone who is curious about rooibos!
Preparation
Tried this tea for the first time this morning and I was impressed.
I used two of the tea bags because I drink out of a big University of Oregon mug. It has a very full body that does not lack in peach flavor. The ginger is balanced very well, not at all overpowering. Would be improved even more if I had honey to add to it.
The one downside to this tea that I experienced is that the tea bag before steeping smells kind of like peach liquor, a weird alcoholesque smell, not at all pleasing.
Preparation
I think this tea has a lot of potential if treated right. You have to find the perfect steep time because this one is not forgiving if accidentally steeped too long, it becomes very very bitter.
Overall I really enjoy this tea in the morning before class, a quick caffeine boost to start the day.
