The drink tastes a bit malty at the start, like an assam black tea, but then transitions to this incredibly sweet honey brown sugar finish that tastes EXACTLY like the black milk bubble tea I make at home. Due to this, I am 100% addicted to drinking this tea and find myself reaching for a cup of it constantly! Instant bubble tea? Pshhh yes please! I haven’t actually used it to make bubble tea yet, but I can only imagine that when I do, the heavens will open and awesome trumpet music will pour forth from the clouds and it will rains kittens and puppies. It’s going to be THAT awesome. :D I’ve never had the pleasure of enjoying a straight oolong tea with a taste profile as unique as this! I only wish that Majani offered a more “full leaf” version of the blend, but if changing the production of the tea would diminish the awesome brown sugar flavor in any way, I’ll happily stick to the broken leaf version. Absolutely delicious!!

s the leaves are slightly broken, this will lead to a faster steep time than what you might expect from fuller-leaf teas, and I adjusted my usual brewing time accordingly. To my roughly 150 mL teapot, I added roughly a tablespoon of leaves, and allowed them to steep for roughly 45 seconds. The resulting brew had a beautiful, intense red colour, and strong notes of honey and molasses drifted up from my cup. The first sip really surprised me with a taste I hadn’t expected: plum! The tea is actually quite fruity, though definite tones of molasses are also at play. The after taste was faintly sweet and remained slightly thick on my tongue with no astringency whatsoever.

drank Raspberry Cocoa by Tippy's Tea

This blend of tea produced exactly the cup I was hoping for from the onset: a blend of black teas whose unique, earthy characteristics I could identify and enjoy on their own, with the comforting tastes of raspberries and cocoa as friendly accompaniments. drank Peachy White by Tealated

I found a steeping time of ~2 minutes was perfectly suitable for two teaspoons of leaves in a gaiwan-style teapot, with an additional 30 seconds tacked on for a subsequent steep. The second time I brewed a fresh batch of this tea I accidentally steeped it for about five minutes and STILL had a fantastic, not bitter cup. I got about two fully flavored cups of tea with each fresh batch of leaves.

The most significant factor that sets this peach tea apart from the other peachy varieties is the way the creation of the flavor profile was approached. The brew is incredibly creamy and smooth, with equal tasting notes of peach and vanilla! (I can’t quite put my paw on the exact flavor, but I’m just going to go with vanilla. :-P ) This tea does not attempt to shout “HI, MY NAME’S PEACH!!!” in your face with exaggerated, artificial flavoring that plagues so many other blends. Instead, the peach greets you politely and almost shyly, then quickly introduces his friend “Mr. Vanilla” to you. Interestingly, the characteristic mellowness of this combination is what leads my senses to believe I am actually sampling real peach pieces when I drink this brew. As a delightful bonus to this unique flavor, absolutely no sweetener is necessary to enhance the taste of the drink.

My full review of this tea: wp.me/p5c82m-H

“…As someone who struggles with drinking pure green tea due to its characteristic grassy taste, I found Twining’s Strawberry Raspberry Passionfruit Tea both a simple delight in its own right and a very gentle introduction into acquiring the taste for straight green tea. I had purchased this tea originally because I was interested in the fruity tastes it featured, but when I found myself intentionally steeping the tea in such a way that I could also coax out the grassy and fresh green tea flavor, I knew Twinings had done a great job with this blend.”
