My husband and I dropped in one Sunday afternoon this past summer and had a Tea for Two sitting. The tea room is quite small, so I’d advise calling ahead to make a reservation, and then they’re happy to make adjustments to the menu for dietary reasons at the same time. We thoroughly enjoyed our tea experience, the sandwiches were delicious, as were the treats, to say nothing of the amazing tea. They have a whole range of tea available for purchase as well, and wandering through the whole little cottage looking at tea and tea ware is also a delight. If you’re up in the area it’s worth stopping in (we came from San Diego). You won’t have room for any of the Julian Apple Pie after a stop here – just a warning!

I love the Argo Tea Cafes around town and this one has a great selection of their teas, both pre-bottled and bulk. The Ginger Green tea from the cafe is my favorite.

Very friendly staff, happy to let you sample any teas you see and are interested in. Nice wide selection, very knowledgeable staff about the processes behind the different teas. I’ve tried several green teas and have enjoyed them all, their Earl Grey Moonlight is amazing, as is their Green Rooibos Bonita. Their tea cookies are pretty tasty too.

I really liked their Blue Sky green tea and bought myself a bag (wish I could buy it online, does anyone know if their teas are proprietary or sourced elsewhere?). The cafe is a great place as well, my husband and I both love the atmosphere for a morning breakfast on a rainy day. Good food, their oatmeal is particularly hearty!

I liked this okay. I went with a friend when the harpist was there and that was beautiful accompaniment to our conversation. The tea was good, the full tea service was nice, very traditional selections. Just a bit pricey.

LOVE their teas! Every tea I’ve tried from them I’ve loved. Moon Palace, Honey Melon, Arabian Nights (both caf and decaf), some chai version. I love their mixes of green and black teas, like Arabian Nights. Excellent teas and friendly service! I like that I can buy the tea online as well so I can still stock up when I move out of Chicago.

I tried the Blood Orange tea while there and loved it, would like to know where I can buy the same blend! The full tea service was fun with a friend and her daughter, I like their selection of sandwiches better than The Drake. The kind of dark intimate atmosphere was fun too, a different experience than the open and light-filled Drake. The waiter was very friendly and it was pretty empty on a weekday afternoon.
