6 Tasting Notes

No.51 Sencha from Steven Smith Teamaker
100

I love Green Tea’s and Sencha happens to be my favorite variety. When you first open the bag the tea perfumes your nose with hints of sweet grass. It’s amazing. The tea has a smooth vegetal taste with a hint of steamed rice. It is the perfect drink if you are looking for a pure green tea.

No. 33 Chai from Steven Smith Teamaker

An amazingly balanced Chai Tea. The Ginger and peppercorn add just the right pop to the deliciously earthy Assam Tea. A

Forever Nuts from DAVIDsTEA

The second i smelt it I was sold. It smelt sweet and floral and had hints of all the spices I love. When first drinking i loved this tea, but over time my love has declined.

The first thing that upset me was the artificial flavoring on the packet. There are ways to get a tea like this to smell and taste great without having to add chemicals. That artificial flavoring also only ads sent it really doesn’t enhance the taste.

The tea actually tastes week for my liking. It is sweet and the smell is amazing, but it just doesn’t do it for me. Let me know what you think.

Exotica from DAVIDsTEA

When i first read about the Tea I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, after trying I loved the different spice notes it provides. The lemon grass adds a refreshing scent, the cinnamon is a great background note. I don’t taste any of the fruit that is supposedly in it.

Overall this is a great tea for a cold winter day.

Acai Berry from Zhena's Gypsy Tea
43

The tea smelled very fruity when opened, which carried through after i brewed it. It was almost overly sweet and all I tasted was the acai berry, none of the other components. I then tried it cold, which I think would make the perfect summer iced tea. Save this one for the summer chilled.

Organic Chinese Sencha from Miraval

The tea lived up to the description. It was a sweet, not bitter green tea. I tasted the grassy notes, but the tea was a little too lite for my taste. I think it might because I didn’t steep the tea long enough. Still it was enjoyable and I would recommend it for a low to medium caffeine tea.
