Certainly better than their Lapsang Souchong, the extra teas blended in make it way more well-rounded. The taste is pleasant and campy. Though this tea is known for its “kick”, it seemed light to me. I sort of felt like a traveller relaxing around a campfire in the middle of a cold forest.
The unprepared tea smells very strong, and I can’t really say it’s pleasant. Once prepared, the drink itself smells pleasing, but the taste is quite different – somewhat weak, actually. One can definitely feel the smokiness, but it is subtle. Not many other flavors, to be honest.
Eh, not very balanced overall, their Russian Caravan is superior.
