drank Jasmine Pearl by Objective Tea

Thank you TeaEqualsBliss for sending me this tea! I can’t find this tea company anywhere, so I guess they are closed now?

Anyway, this is a good jasmine pearl. The dry pearls aren’t as pearly-round as many jasmine pearls are, but that’s OK. I steeped this in my gaiwan using very short steeps. I get very little bitterness (just a slight sharp note from the jasmine) and a mild astringency.

This is a delightful jasmine pearl. I’m sad to see that Objective Tea is not in business any longer.

Well, they aren’t really “pearls” like you would assume – not little balls – but if it tastes ok…I’m cool with that!
:)

The aroma is barely there as the leaves unwind. They are unwinding VERY slowly. I went about 6 minutes and they aren’t undone so I am sure you could get multiple infusions out of them but it’s light in color and scent. It’s a very pale yellow.

The taste isn’t bad, however, it’s more flavorful than I thought it would be based on the above. Not VERY flavorful just more flavorful than I expected, I guess. This is nice…mellow…but nice. If you are looking for a whispering cuppa for an evening or to calm your nerves…try this!

I had put a cup of the hot brew away in the fridge yesterday for this morning

it was very bitter and astringent :(

I have a cold brew going as a resteep, we’ll see if that’s better

Sad, bitter face.

This tea is a good medium black, but nothing unique pulls it out as a “must-buy” or “wow” drink.
