Tiger Lily is a very wonderful little tea shop. It’s the only tea shop that I would say is really worth your while to visit in Southeastern Connecticut. Whenever I visit I am able to have a very nice chat with the owners about the intricacies of tea.
They have a very wide selection of tea (much more than what is on facebook or their website). They also offer a wide variety of teaware. This includes gaiwans, little glass teapots and other glass brewing vessels, yixing teapots, mug-like cups with infusers, and travel tumblers that are wonderful for brewing tea “grandpa style” on the go.
They’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, make recommendations based off of your individual tastes, and I am sure would be more than happy to teach the basics of brewing methods beyond what is featured on their packets.
If you’re a tea connoisseur or someone who just wants to drop in to get a hot cup of tea, this is the place to go when you’re in the area. You won’t leave disappointed.
