The smokiness of this tea is overwhelming at first, at least for me. When I shook some into my strainer I thought something nearby was on fire. The aroma is quite strong, even from the brewed beverage. I’m still coming to terms with it. It’s one of the few teas I need some sugar with.

Very pleasant and mild, I do not find the floral quality to be as elusive (I hope they mean elusive) as Stash’s wordsmith. I tend to over-steep, always running around at work in the morning. This tea handles it well.
