From driftwood tea

Also known as Wuyi Rock, oolongs from the Wuyi Shan – a World Heritage Site – produce teas that are among China’s most prized. Wuyi teas are renowned for their multifaceted flavours and thick, almost oily texture. Our Organic Wuyi Yancha is no exception as it delivers a supreme depth of flavour and long lasting aftertaste; a great example of a tea from this region.

Key flavours – caramelised fruit sugars, raisins, smooth chocolate, mineral notes & coconut highlights.

First steep: temperature 100C. My feeling is that the tea is very good for the price, however it tastes a bit too sharp. Should be more fragrant. Overall great tea for daily drinking even if it tastes a bit flat. Hopefully next steep will be better.
Second steep: lowered the temperature to 95C. The leaves suddenly unfurled producing sharp yet very pleasant tasting sensation and a rainbow of aromas. Just wonderful. Certainly a keeper.
