From Nourish Tea

Iron Goddess of Mercy comes from the Jianxi province of China. This tea is named after the the Buddhist saint Guan Yin who was known for her amazingly strong compassion. Falling between green tea and black tea, it holds a wildly fragrant flavor that will be appreciated by all tea lovers alike. Iron Goddess is truly a different kind of tea that will appeal to many pallets because of its diversity. It even looks entirely interesting (unlike any other loose leaf tea in the mix)…and come’on, the name is sensational.
