Water: I boiled 8oz water on the stove, then let cool for 5 minutes.
Leaves: medium size tea buds, light green & fuzzy
Steep: 2m,3m,4m,5m
Aroma: light fresh scent
Color: very pale almost clear
Taste: I decided to brew this tea again. This time using a more proper method than i did the first time around. I never thought I would be able to re-steep it soo many times yet still have a nice light flavor.
Preparation
Water: I boiled 8oz water & let it cool slightly
Leaves: mini yellow-ish brown flower buds
Steep: 3 minutes
Aroma: floral
Color: pale yellow almost clear
Taste: I made this tea the same day as the blooming tea,I had no luck with this one either it was tasteless as well. Maybe I should have let it brew longer time I’m going to give it another go. I’ve been having difficulty writing reviews b/c I haven’t been getting much taste from my teas.
Second Tea Log
This time when I made this tea I mixed it with green tea the a second batch with white. It was better from when i first tried it.My first time blending teas together.
Preparation
The idea behind this tea is to blend it with another tea to create your own unique flavour. I remember trying it by itself and it was a little toasty and floral but once I mixed it with some green tea it added to the flavour and was much nicer. If you have any left it may be worth a try. :)
Water: I boiled 12oz water
Leaves: one big tea ball
Steep: 3 minutes
Aroma: light floral
Color: almost clear when brewing but dark yellow in mug
Taste: Although very beautiful to watch is it blooms,I couldn’t help but to take a picture. Overall I found this tea to be tasteless.
Preparation
Water: I boiled 8oz water on the stove, then let cool for 4-5 minutes.
Leaves: Small tightly rolled circles
Steep: 1 minutes the first steep. 2 minutes the 2nd steep
Aroma: I love the scent of this tea powerful yet very pleasant jasmine aroma
Color: very pale almost clear
Taste: I deiced to give this tea a try at 4am I was still awake & wanted to try something new, so I thought why not make a cup or two of tea. As it brewed I enjoyed watching the tea circle unravel, this is my first pearl tea! When drinking it had a very light taste with the scent of jasmine the two combined made a nice match.
Preparation
Water: 8oz Boiling, then let sit for 1 minute.
Leaves: Dry leaves-yellow/brown tone, medium length leaves & Wet- brown in color and slightly larger once steeped.
Steep: 3 minutes w/30 second rinse
Aroma: The scent reminded me of other black teas I’ve had in the past but lighter.
Color: Dark Golden yellow
Taste: In the beginning brewing this tea gave me a bit of trouble either I made it to light or too strong (which gave me a bitter taste). Now after many trials and errors I finally managed to get it almost right. I can say this tea would be good paired with a meal. I want to make this tea properly so I can get the full experience.
Preparation
My 4th review!
Water: 8oz Boiling
Leaves: Dry leaves-Small circles & Wet-The leaves were huge, the biggest tea leaves I’ve seen so far with my brewing experience!
Steep: 3 minutes
Aroma: The scent was the strongest of any of the previous teas made,I was surprised. It took me quite some time to type the aroma, floral.
Color: deep pale yellow
Taste: I rinsed this tea first due to reading that it’s good to rinse Oolong teas first. I did so for 30 seconds then brewed regularly. The taste was light with floral accents despite it’s deep yellow appearance.
Preparation
Testing out a new way of reviewing!
Water: I boiled 8oz water on the stove, then let cool for 4-5 minutes.
Leaves: A beautiful shade of light shade green.
Steep: 2 minutes the first steep. Even when steeping for 3 the flavor is great!
Aroma: I smiled when the scent hit my nose very pleasant, reminded me of Sencha.
Color: Pale yellow
Taste: I decided to make this tea because it was one I haven’t tried from my Teavivre samples. I was preparing to watch one of the Ted Talks. I took a sip this tea is light & very refreshing! It made watching the video that much more relaxing experience.
Preparation
This is my first tea from Teavivre that I decided to try. I must say I really enjoyed making it as well the rich red color and lovely aroma filled my kitchen. It was a bit tart tea but that didn’t bother me. I managed to get 6 cups 8oz cups of tea from the sample bag I ordered.I steeped the leaves over and it still maintained great flavor. Overall I really enjoyed it and would consider buying it again in the future.
Second Tea Log
Taste just as good from when I was first learning to brew tea, still a favorite of mine.
