I received this tea as sample with my David’s Tea order. I tried it hot and that may have been a mistake. I really don’t detect much of a coconut flavor which is odd because the tea to coconut ratio looks to be nearly even in the dry tea. Also, the lime tastes a bit bitter to me. The black tea is nice and almost understated, but then I come back to a bitter lime rind aftertaste.
I’m a HUGE David’s Tea fan, but this one s not one of my favorites. Sorry David…

Yeah, I don’t care for this one either, but I always feel a little guilty about not liking a tea from Davids. They introduced me to tea and I love so many of their teas XD.
When I first had this tea (as a take away tea) I thought it was over steeped… I found it slightly bitter and almost burnt. The second time I made it myself I only steeped it two minutes and it still was not great, it is not my go to tea for sure, but some what enjoyable.
LadyKittyKat, I’ve only recently discovered David’s Teas, but I feel indebted to Mr. David in the same way you do. A company that produces so many taste bud pleasing flavor home runs is bound to produce one or two that don’t suite me. I guess it’s not all about me :)
Erin, I love that David’s Tea is so generous with the samples! I wish that I could have brewed it at least one more time to see if I might have over steeped it etc. Alas, I think it was a limited addition spring tea anyway. My sample had fallen behind my Vitamix and I only just recovered it today, and it’s always fun to try something new.
Oh, wow… if it’s only intended to be seasonal, then left over stock say’s it all… I hope that is not the same case for “Movie Night”

I think it is a permentant tea, I bought it late May? Or maybe they hadn’t run out yet?
Erin, nope, it was a spring tea, they just still have a lot in stock. (because it’s gross >.>)
Ladykittykat, your comment made me laugh aloud like a crazy person! I needed that this morning :)
Always glad to help ;)

Movie Night is now a permanent part of the David’s Tea collection, so no worries about it being only seasonal. I love Movie Night :)
