78 Tasting Notes
Hmmm,
not to sure what to think of this tea… when I first opened it, a strong strong scent of vanilla came out… I like my tea strong but it was almost to much or it smelled fake.. but it looked beautiful with slices of almond and the flower petals! On the second whiff you could smell the Rooibos or what I assume was the rooibus, woodsy kind of like you are walking into home depot where all the wood is :)
I brewed it and the woodsy scent came out more but it still was really really sweet smelling. I tasted it and thought that it would have had a stronger taste… it was curious. I let it cool a bit and then i was able to taste the vanilla and the rooibos. But it was still pretty weak compared to the smell. I may have to try this one again and let it steep longer! Towards the end I was kind of overwhelmed with the smell since it was so strong. It was ok but I don’t think I would purchase again.
Preparation
This one smells like a york peppermint patty… Yummm! It has a very nice balance of mint and chocolate and smells a bit like vanilla. Brews up to a nice dark amber color.
The smell is still really nicely balanced with chocolate and mint and you can smell the black tea as well. The taste is smooth. I feel as if I can’t really distinguish any one flavor to be said but it just is really smooth and leaves a nice refreshed feeling in your mouth. I really like it!
Preparation
Yummmmy smell… what a delicous smell, there is chocolate… who doesn’t like chocolate, and then you can smell the coconut, to me it also smells kind of buttery like some sort of nut…. anyways brewed it up and during the brew I could smell the black tea. It has a nice amber color.
Took a sip and decided that I was going to want a bit more fullness for the taste so I added just a bit of milk and a touch of sugar. This tasted really to me like black tea but it left the taste of coconut and maybe a hint of chocolate at the end. I really liked the aftertaste… to me it would be a good dessert tea because it left that sweetness in the mouth!
Preparation
MMMM, this is such a good dessert tea… At first I was not sure if I would like the fig but it is really delicious. It is sweet with hints of chocolate and just smells Delicious. I love this one plain or mixed with several different teas. It is one that I love to have in my cupboard for sure!
I loved the idea of this tea… I have been looking for a replacement for hot chocolate and sadly this is not it. I loved the smell of the tea in the bag.. it smelled sooo chocolaty and you could see the coconut bits but after brewing it, it was just ok…. I let it cool a bit and I could taste the chocolate a bit more but nothing to wow me with… The smell is still so divine though :) Maybe I will mix this with another chocolate tea and get that perfect chocolate tea!
Preparation
I have been drinking this all day…. I had it first steep with just a bit of rock sugar and then the second steep I added Eversummer punch to the mix which is from Teavanna as well. I love the smell of jasmine and the taste was a great mix when I added the fruityness. The second steep was just as good as the first! It did leave a bit of a dryness to my mouth afterwards.
I have some of this one, too. I am thinking of trying it iced. It is so funny how I loved rooibos in the beginning, and now not so much. I do like the green rooibos better. It is more refreshing.
I agree completely about the smell. Way too strong, it becomes off-putting. The flavor is much milder than the smell. But I have a hard time getting past it, even before steeping.
