12 Tasting Notes
Light in color, with a pretty strong earthy taste and aroma. The second steep is much sweeter, and very good. Also pretty forgiving if you steep the tea a bit too long.
Silk Road Teas doesn’t seem to sell this Oolong on its own, but has it as a part of their Oolong sampler, which I would strongly suggest to anyone who wants to get more into oolong teas.
A good, light, earthy tea that holds it’s flavor well even after multiple brews. I tend to drink this more in the evening time due to it being low in caffeine.
I would suggest not going below 175F for steeping, as the flavor doesn’t come out as well, and increase your steep time about 30-60 seconds for additional brews.
If you love vanilla, this tea is great and a must try. If not so much, this will be too sweet for you. As said before, it’s easy to over steep this tea and it becomes very bitter tasting. I try to not steep the tea over 4 minutes, as I’ve found it gets bitter when you pass that mark.
