drank Earl Grey by Tea of Life
4843 tasting notes

Backlog:

The fragrance of Bergamot is lacking – I didn’t get a strong bergamot aroma when I opened the pouch and I also didn’t get a really strong bergamot scent in the brewed tea. It was a little disappointing to me because I love me some bergamot and I enjoy smelling it almost as much as I enjoy drinking a properly flavored Earl Grey tea.

Flavor-wise, the bergamot is there. It’s a good earl grey. It doesn’t taste soapy or like cologne. The black tea is brisk and smooth and not astringent.

Overall, I enjoyed this. I wish it had a stronger bergamot scent but because the flavors were there, I can’t really knock it too severely. A decent Earl Grey.

The reason I’m no longer writing for SororiTea Sisters is because I am now the Mad Tea Artist for 52Teas:

I’ll still be posting occasional reviews on teas here on Steepster, mostly backlogged reviews because I’m way behind on getting reviews posted. That’s why I’m keeping two accounts active at the current time – so that I can get those backlogged reviews posted.

My favorite teas are Yellow Teas with most Oolong teas at a close second. As far as “flavored” teas go, I love Earl Grey, Chocolate and Jasmine teas.

I also am intrigued by flavored teas with an unusual or unique flavor combination, which is why I was very excited to be the Mad Tea Artist of 52Teas!
