I just had a cup. A medium black tea with the right amount of apple and cinnamon. I really enjoy this tea especially with the cold weather.
This is from that octagonal (?) sampler pack I got myself at Christmas time. I don’t like raspberry anything. Unless it’s golden raspberries, but that’s a whole different beast. Anyway, this tea tastes like someone melted a raspberry candy into weak green tea. I can’t even taste the green tea part, it doesn’t even smell like green tea. I don’t know what the color is because I threw the bag into a black cup. I know, blasphemy. So, it’s not good. I am already steeping with bias.
BUT I put a dropper full of my Dr. Brandt’s Antioxidant dietary supplement in pomegranate flavor and it then tasted like a good pomegranate tea! So then I like it! :-)
Earl Grey Green Tea?!?! what the… It’s strange, not bad mind you but strange, it really does taste like having a bag of green and a bag of english black tea in the same cup… and as a bonus theres a strong taste of bergamont in it! Definately woke me up while I was drawing, but it might be a while before I try it again.
Received this as a Christmas gift as part of the Bentley’s Finest Tea Green Tea Sampler Pack. I wasn’t really sure of how the tea would taste. It is light on the blueberry flavor but not so light that you can’t taste it. Slight bitterness as well even though it wasn’t steeped for long.
Preparation
This is one of my favorite teas as well and I don’t normally go for a bagged tea. I’ve had trouble finding it lately so I’m saving my last few bags for when I’m sick, it does wonders for an upset stomach. It’s a very slight and slightly sweet tea.
Preparation
So the website calls this tea “Oriental Treasure Green Tea” and again, it has a tiny tea bag. I made around 16oz with a single bag. It was more bitter than I wanted it to be, but it was still good. It made me want cake or cookies.
Preparation
Got a whole gang of Bentley’s teas for Valentine’s day from my dad and am just now remembering to add them to my cupboard. So far, I can’t stop having this one. It is pure heaven. And my husband says its “not as bad as the other ones” so that’s saying something since he absolutely hates all things earl grey. Earl grey has always been my “safe tea” when I’m out because its the one tea that most restaraunts that offer tea carry an earl grey and they always taste pretty similar and enjoyable to me. I would list this one today as my 2nd favorite earl grey tea. My 1st being Kusmi’s Bouquet of Flowers No. 108 which I should really get to ordering soon.
I received a big Bentley’s sampler cube for Christmas and I decided to go with blueberry. The black tea base is actually pretty smooth and sweet. The blueberry adds a nice fruity touch to it and it is very natural tasting. No fake flavors here :) It’s not too strong but you can definitely tell that It’s there.
This can easily be called the worst tea I have ever tried. It tastes of a disgustingly sweet vanilla. I taste a bit of milk. However, there is no tea taste. Just from taste it would be impossible to tell it was a black tea at all. The sweetness just adds to how bad it really is.
You might like this tea if you enjoyed watching Two Girls One Cup because it feels like warmed vomit going down your throat. I don’t think anyone would(or could) drink this completely.
If I was stranded on a boat in the middle of the ocean with no way to purify any seawater and all I had to drink was a gallon of this tea I would simply drink as much seawater to make my life end short so I would never be put into the situation where I actually contemplate drinking this pathetic excuse for tea.
On my first sip I spit back into the cup hoping it would just go away. On my second sip I took the down it quick and don’t think about it approach. On my third sip my gag reflex kicked in and I decided I might as well pour it down the sink.
So in recap, DON’T drink it.
It really is mediocre to the point of almost being bad.
On first sip it tastes spicy with a faint orange tang. Halfway through I realized it just was not cutting it. This tea is gross if you don’t give it enough time intervals between each sip. In other words you can’t drink too much of it.
It does, however, have a tangy orange peel aroma to it.
So in recap, you might as well put it in a jar whenever you want to smell the orange musk because drinking just makes you rethink why you bother drinking tea at all.
