I need a tea for my Nose!

I have a sinus condition that leaves my nose clogged almost all the time. I can rarely breathe through my nose. David’s Tea has Cold 911 that relieves my congestion for a short amount of time, and it tastes good too. But I’d like to try a few others. Can you tell me of any other tea that might open the nasal passages? Help?

Edited to add: I’ve tried to leave replies, but I get an error message. So, please don’t think I’m being rude. Thank you for all your suggestions. They are appreciated!

You may want to try Gypsy Cold Care… I think it is a Traditional Medicine tisane. It’s a grocery/health food store tea so you wouldn’t have to buy it online, etc.

Yogi Egyptian licorice and Egyptian licorice mint are what I use for allergies. Anything with licorice root and ginger should help though.

I love Yogi’s Egyptian licorice! Although I do not use it for allergies, it does clear out congestion and eases cramps.

Ripe/Shou/Fermented Puerh.

I get sinus congestion often and ripe puerh helps me a lot. I used to use lemon/honey/ginger/hot pepper combo but puerh works much better.

Though, you should also try a steam treatment. Like pour hot water in a sink, toss a towel over your head and let the steam loosen the sinus. You can also throw in some essential oils in the water too.
Also neti pot sinus rinse of crazy are great for getting the sinuses cleared up.

+1 to the steam treatment. Especially with a few drops of eucalyptus and peppermint oils.

For tea, I grate raw ginger into mine whenever I really need sinus help. Harney’s sells a ginger tisane at Target that I’ve been meaning to try. I usually go with Yogi’s ginger which is palatable.

Mint
Lemon
Ginger

Together, alone, with regular tea, whatever. All good for most minor ailments. Mint is the #1 suggestion though. Heck, even just inhaling hot mint tea helps me. I feel like the family in My Big Fat Greek Wedding with the Windex for everything, but mint is awesome!

Ditto on the peppermint—-we use it from everything from colds to headaches to every flavor of digestive upset under our roof.

One of my favorite non-drinkable remedies is several drops of eucalyptus oil on a washcloth dropped under a hot shower.

A non-tea favorite of mine for clearing congestions if pho soup with sriracha sauce. It’s so yummy!

Oh goodness yes. That would be so great for supper. Why do I live somewhere that doesn’t make pho?!

There IS a thai restaurant that is supposed to open…some day. Some day. So thai food is consolation. Otherwise, it’s country fare. Which I love! But has helped me gain weight. Bad!

If your stuffy nose is due to allergies, try benifuuki green tea.
