Canadians where are you ordering your teas?

I am interested in knowing where you order your tea from and if shipping is expensive. (Anywhere in the World)

In the past I received monthly boxes from Amoda Tea and Miletea but I stopped buying from these companys. I just want to try other companys.

Any suggestions?

David’s Tea has free shipping over $50 CAD
What-Cha has free international shipping over ~$43 USD
52Teas has free shipping over a certain amount , I can’t remember, but shipping is ~$10 USD under that amount
Teavana often offers free shipping promos
Liquid Proust has excellent shipping of ~$5-10 depending on weight (email him, etsy/his site gives incorrect estimates)
Silk Road and Murchie’s have shops in some Canadian cities.

Thank you, I haven’t tried most of them, except David’s tea. I will look into it. I appreciate you taking the time to reply.

We are a Canadian tea company and I think our shipping is very reasonable. www.pandabrewtea.com. We also have free shipping on orders over $50.

Hope you can enjoy some of our tea.

I’ve only ever online ordered Nutcracker Sweet tea (Celestial Seasonings), because I can’t buy it where I live, but I normally just go to into store at DavidsTea.

We have David’s Tea in town but sometimes I like to discover online stores as well. Thanks for your reply and have a great evening!

What kind of tea do you like? Some companies have better teas of certain categories.

I like green tea, white tea, some black teas. At the moment I have bought subscription boxes from Amoda and Miletea. I went to a store in Ottawa and they guy goes to Asia to select his tea and he said to be careful of what we buy online. But his tea is pricey and sometimes I want to discover new online companys that are reputable.

Take a look at Citizen Tea and Capital Tea. Be careful for Captial Tea to find the Canadian company. There is a US based one with the same name.

Was this a question about where I order teas from or what Canadian companies I use? I am in Canada but rarely order within Canada. One Canadian company I use is Tealyra.

Usually I am ordering from:
Yunnan Sourcing
Taiwan Tea Crafts
Verdant Tea
Grand Tea
Yunomi
Yukki-Cha
Mandala Tea
Crimson Lotus
Han Xiang Ecological Tea (previously on Aliexpres)
Beautiful Taiwan Tea Company

I do not find the shipping from most of these companies any more expensive than ordering from within Canada.

Good morning, thank you, I don’t know any of these companys.

I was curious where people were ordering anywhere in the World. So you gave me new sites to try. Shipping within Canada is a bit crazy.

Enjoy your day!

I just stumbled across a tea article this morning which led me here: http://camellia-sinensis.com/en/

Looks like they have a huge selection of teas and are based out of Montréal.

Tao Tea leaf is great. Be careful, there is an american “tao tea”.
If you are local to Ontario, Toronto has a few shops that don’t sell online but have great tea. Tsaa tea on the danforth.
Tealish sells online but you can also visit their shop in Roncesvalles.

I’ll have a look at Tao Tea Leaf. I am in the Ottawa region.

Helene, Tao Tea Leaf can be pricey. They usually have a mid summer sale where they mark their teas down. At least they have done that the last couple of years. Here’s an old post on the last one:
