New Tea Festival - Chicago, Nov 1-3, 2019
Along with a small volunteer committee, I am in the process of finalizing the details of the first Chicago International Tea Festival for November 1-3, 2019!
We have 43 vendor booths, 60+ lectures and classes, 4 special meal events featuring tea, cultures and tea personalities. A people’s choice tea competition, a great deal on hotel rooms at the venue which is in a prime location in Chicago’s Loop and more to come! Our speakers are local, national and international tea industry insiders, tea bloggers and regular tea enthusiasts just like you.
Details can be found at https://www.citfest.com, on Facebook @chicagoteafest and Instagram @chiteafest. You can sign up on the website for an infrequent newsletter to stay informed about developments with the festival or give a follow to the event posting on Facebook.
Also, we will need volunteers to pull this off. Everyone involved in organizing the event is a volunteer, with no one receiving a salary at all and any proceeds from the event going to paying deposits for the 2020 event! Details on volunteering can be found on the website as well. Volunteer and get into all 3 days for free!
(Waves to Nicole) Good to see you doing great tea things! I wish I was anywhere near Chicago…
oh man…wonder if the kiddo would let me do this…
Hmm… That’s within a few hours of me… Week before my birthday. Could be a cool birthday present for myself. Haha
So Liquid Proust is yet another victim of this broken site that no one will fix, and unable to post messages on the forums. He wanted someone to post here that he will be at the Chicago Tea Festival.
Did any of you go? How was it?
