A simple British ‘cuppa’ – strong, bright, restorative.

I first tried this tea when visiting Maine a few years ago. Now it’s one of my staples. It’s a nice taste of spring in the winter, and the perfect cuppa once the temperatures start rising.

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite morning teas, though I’m not sure that it will ever displace my lapsang/pu-erh custom blend.

i clean the stove while it brewed, so it was a little cold, but it was great otherwise. my first try.

I’ve been drinking so much sencha lately that I took the plunge and bought a kyuusu. It’s taken me a couple of goes to get the brew exactly as I like it but I think I’m going to love using it for this tea. A special tea pot for a favourite tea.

Made this tea to help my scratchy throat and wake me up a bit this morning. Feeling under the weather, so I’ll add more sugar than usual. I enjoy this tea but can never taste as much ginger as I expect to from it.

Mum drinks this all the time. She likes it thick and black, with sugar – really rich flavour. Yum.

Open infuser with 4.5 grams of tea in a 350 ml mug. Steep 2-3 mins. Milk to taste.
Liquor colour bright orange. Taste – still fresh, slight astringency, good flavour. Not quite the green apple tea aroma it originally had but maturing well. This is a good cup of tea from the factory that consistently gets highest prices on the Mombasa Auction. Well done Gisovu!

A nice balanced matcha, not overly sweet and no noticeable bitterness. Easy to prepare, doesn’t seem too sensitive to higher or lower water temps, I use between 70-80 degrees C – 80ml water – 2 chashaku of matcha. Would recommend!

The leaves are distinctively flat and green, and make a pale yellow-green brew. This is a very delicate green tea with a mild malty taste to it, and a sweeter aftertaste than any other green tea I’ve tried. I like this one a lot.

I drank a whole pot on ice today. So refreshing and yummy.

Wonderful scent with a light and refreshing taste. Had myself a whole pot of it to relax with this evening before it is back to work in the morning.

This is one of those teas great to mix with many other teas. I also tried it with being mixed and it is wonderful. It is very forgiving when oversteeped. I accidentally steeped it over 7 minutes and it was still great. I love this to end the day.

One of my go to greens for everyday drinking. I tend to mix some peppermint or spearmint with it as well.

Made a big pot of Sencha Premier …

Nice almost floral aroma almost reminiscent of a first flush Darjeeling. Rich honey flavor very smooth. I like this tea a lot.
Steeped at 195 until leaves began to sink. I bought this bulk from Central Market for around $110 / lb

Always a fave of mine, I tried adding a spoonful of honey to my cup, which provided superb results.
