New Tasting Notes
My ex-boyfriend got me a box of this when we were in Kauai for Christmas. Two days later I found out he was cheating on me (thanks Facebook!). Regardless of its flavor, you would think this tea would taste bitter after all that. But it still tastes sweet as ever. I love this stuff! As usual, I’m drinking it with honey. Relationships come and go but tea is forever.
This tea has a really dense orchid/lilac floral quality at the first steep that’s very vibrant and clear. It progresses into smooth clarified lobster-tinted butter. Very smooth and rich. Then an electric snap of sweetness before gracefully leaving on a honey glissando. Delightful.
Most Herbal Yogi Teas have been grossing me out lately because of the medicine-E taste. This is much better tasting than most. It’s light red in color. It’s fruity but not as bad as one might think…I think it’s because the Ginger, Licorice, and Peppermint cut the taste a bit. Prior to steeping you can smell the ginger but that is nearly lost after the steep.
