My wife wanted to pick out the tea of the week this week. With her Irish-Scottish heritage, it wasn’t enough to choose the tea for the week of St. Patty’s Day without an additional tip of the hat to her Scottish ancestry. For that reason, our tea of the week for the week of St. Patrick’s Day: what else, but a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, a butterSCOTCH flavored black tea.

I realize butterscotch is not as groundbreaking as maple bacon or pancake breakfast, but let me assure you, it IS delicious! Creamy and smooth, and satisfying in that way that only butterscotch can be, but without the guilt. And yes, it is 100% vegan.

I love butterscotch tea. This is no exception. The flavor is yummy sweet without being over the top.

I got this as a sample from my tasting box I purchased from LiberTEAS . Thanks for putting together such a great bunch of samples!

I also got this one from will work for tea
My girls are in the process of having a sleepover, so I’ve got four girps here plus my parents dog while they are in Newfoundland for two weeks. Everyone is grumpy because they went to bed too late. The only thing keeping me sane is the tea. This is my second black tea of the day : O
So the dry notes smell.mostly of black tea with a slight sweet smell. As it steeps it gets a bit of a caramel scent but no.butterscotch. As it cools a but i begin to smells the butterscotch, it smells like.candy. I wait impatiently for it to cool enough to drink.
On the first sips I am getting mainly a black tea flavour with a hint of sweet.
It cools a bit.more so I can drink it and although it has a slightly sweet taste (which may.only be from the blob of honey that I added) it still mainly tastes like a black tea, that I could perhaps drinl, but don’t feel inclined to do so.

Sorry to hear it was underwhelming. Always worth trying a new tea though! :)

of course, I think trying a new tea is the most fun of it all.

Wow….just…wow. This tea is just amazing. When I tried it a huge grin spread over my face. This has so much butterscotch flavor that it blows your mind. Being dairy-free I’ve missed this flavor so much. If you’ve not already you must try it iced with some sugar, it brings out so much more of the already wonderful flavor.

Still good as remembered. Wondering if I should make it an alternative to Irish coffee with addition of whiskey.
