Adagio Advent Calendar – Day 10
Ooh, well this sounds fun and interesting. I’m honestly not even a sage fan, but I’m still excited to try it. There’s a lot of sage in my pouch, hah.
I will say, it’s not bad at all. The sage is present but not overbearing, which is a relief. The blackberry flavoring does have a bit of chalkiness to it (an issue I often have with berry flavoring), but it does also taste like blackberry to me. A tad artificial though, perhaps. I also taste a bit of tart raspberry. I don’t really get much from the oolong base, which has also been true in similar Adagio oolong blends.
Mellow and pleasant. Not something I would order, but I can certainly see the appeal. If the blackberry flavor were just a touch more authentic, I think this would be really good.

Adventaggedon Day Seventeen – 3/6
This is my favourite non-fandom blend from Adagio so I was really excited to see it in my advent today, and conveniently I had blackberries in the fridge so I even got to enjoy my cup of it with some reaallllyyyyy juicy and tender fresh blackberries.
It was a sage heavy cup, but the combo of sage and jammy blackberry is something very special and dynamic. I loved the extra acidity and brightness that combining it with the real blackberries added, but at the end of the day it’s the perfect level of sweetness and the great clarity of flavours that keep me coming back to this blend.
The Cherry Marzipan Oolong was very good, but it’s hard to imagine anything left in the Adagio advent is going to bring me quite as much joy as this blend did today.
