2025 TTB #25

Orange and lavender is such an interesting combination! I smelled the orange more than I tasted it and the lavender was a bit strong for my preference. I also found the base tea to be a bit astringent; maybe it would have benefitted from a shorter steep? All in all, not my favorite, but it was still a fun blend to try.

I know I’ve had this more than once, but I haven’t made notes before. It’s a little herby. I want to say I’m getting rosemary and something else. Not super into this one. It’s not bad, it just doesn’t jump out at me.

March Sipdown Madness

This tea was the victor in a match up with DT’s Turmeric Glow.

I thought it was interesting having these two teas paired because they both elicit feelings of nostalgia in me. However, this makes me feel nostalgic for a feeling or an experience I’m not sure I’ve even ever really had – it’s sort of ethereal in that way. On paper the combo of lavender and orange doesn’t seem like it would work to me and the leaf aroma doesn’t do it any favors because it’s quite sharp. However, the taste is like a soothing lavender creamsicle with just the right sweet spot of brightness from the orange.

I’ve recently been very enamored with this tea, so it was an easy win for me.
