Blend of Chinese black teas flavoured with almond, vanilla, cherry and honey, highlighted with sweetened white stars and red beans and decorated with flowers.
When I ordered from Compagnie a while back, I picked up a bag of nearly every tea they had with almond in it. I do love a good almond tea! The leaves have the appearance of being wet and glossy in the bag. The scent of my cup is dominated by candied cherries. The almond blends so well that it becomes a deeper part of the cherry scent. The flavor is very light, like floral or ethereal cherries. If I time my sips too frequently I loose the taste and alkaline sets in. Sipping slowly! The back of the finish has almost too much almond, like when it starts to go bitter, but it pulls back from that right before it goes over the edge. The start of the finish is quite nice with the cherry almond combo. I tried adding cream in the last third of my cup and it was way to heavy for this tea. It’s a fun tea to try, but not a repurchase for me.
