From DAVIDsTEA

It’s all about the leaf

Looking for a taste of Canada? Try this red rooibos tea. It’s sweetened with (what else?) maple syrup and sprinkled with delicious maple leaf candies. Plus it’s 100% diplomatic (well, caffeine-free) and tastes great in both our official languages. With green rooibos, honeybush, caramel and toffee bits to shake things up. A truly authentic Canadian experience.

Ingredients: South African green and red rooibos, honeybush, caramel bits, toffee bits, candy leaves, artificial and natural flavouring*.

Allergens: Soy, dairy and tree nuts

The aroma of this rooibos tea is glorious! It’s maple, caramel and so wonderful. The candy sprinkles don’t completely dissolve, they turn into colourful blobs (even after two infusions) making this a fun tea for kids. It’s not to sweet and is lovely without any added sugar.

On the second infusion, the maple flavour is much less noticeable but it’s still a nice-bodied rooibos tea.

I tried Oh Canada on a whim, hoping that I’d have an addition to my dessert tea selection. Cute maple leaf shaped candies, caramel, toffee and maple syrup. All around sweetness in a cup. What could go wrong?

Unfortunately it did go wrong for me. I’m woefully unimpressed by this one, though it does deliver on its promise for maple flavour. I’m going to have to mix this with something else to make it tolerable, or pass it on to someone who can appreciate it for what it is.

Oh Canada… Oh, what a beautiful tea! The initial smell of this was maple, but not overly so. The taste is of pure maple syrup! The only thing I love nearly as much as pumpkin is maple and this didn’t taste fake. It’s not thick or overly sweet. This tea is a balanced dessert tea. I have a feeling I might run out of this one soon…

OMGGG. What a smell.
It is exactly like hot pancakes with gallons of pure maple sirop.
When I bought it , I wanted to wait for the perfect time to taste it for the first time, to wait until I would really need that sweet treat !
Because of the smell, I really expected a strong taste of maple and caramel, maybe a little too sweet but in fact, this is the perfect right balance in my cup.
I added some milk into my second infusion, and it really brings out all the flavour.

Maybe I expected it to taste stronger, but it is still a excellent tea for a Saturday night treat :)

Yummy! A little too sweet for me to drink all the time, but it makes a nice treat.
I definitely taste the honeybush before the maple, but that’s fine.

Honeybush is good for menstrual regulation and headaches, and now I’ve finally found a honeybush tea that I like! :)

Not only does it taste delicious, but it smells amazing too. I tried to eat the maple leaves after I steeped the tea…not so much. However, if you eat them before you steep it, they’re just like candy :D

I adore this tea. As a huge maple fanatic, it was a given that I had to try it. Going in with very high expectations, as maple is a huge favourite of mine, I was pleasantly surprised! The maple flavour is lovely without being overwhelming, and there isn’t much of the rooibos woodiness.

Certainly one of my favourites. I don’t know how many times I have gone out with this in my travel mug and had compliments on how good it smells and it tastes just as good as that. I will drink this one at any time of the day. It has a sweet taste to it without needing to add sweetener of any kind.
