From DAVIDsTEA

How wild is this tea? Let’s just say it grew up on the wrong side of the strawberry patch. It stayed up late and hung out in cool bars – the kind where they spike frosty cocktails with a little sprig of rosemary. Crazy? Maybe. But we love its wild combination of fruity and herbal flavours. Bursting with strawberry, rosemary, hibiscus and vanilla, it’s sweet and refreshing. And it’s amazing iced. Go ahead – take a walk on the wild side.

ingredients

Apple (apple, citric acid), elderberries, raisins, hibiscus blossoms, beetroot, rosemary, strawberries, vanilla pods, natural and artificial strawberry-cream and vanilla flavouring.

Sipdown! 244/365!

This is surprisingly delicious and I kind of wish I had more! It doesn’t particularly scream “strawberry” to me, but its a lovely light, fruity blend with cream flavour that is absolutely perfect, and that hint of something different, which I believe is the rosemary. Kicking myself for not realizing how good this was earlier – I had tried it before, but didn’t really have a recollection of it being quite this tasty. Oh well, I’ll just hope that something yummy like this comes around again!

I finally convinced a family member to finish off this tea for me. I really, really don’t like it. Like why would you put rosemary in a strawberry tea? This tea smells bad and it tastes like savory herby strawberries. It’s just confusing. The flavor is so strong and bad. I didn’t read the ingredients before buying this one because I didn’t expect to be tricked with a strawberry tea!

I find this one weird too. Mostly because they call it “Wild Strawberry”, which to me implies fresh, tart strawberry, and then they add vanilla which makes it more strawberries and cream. Boo.

I tried a sample of this when it originally came out and fell in love. So, I picked up around 200 g and have now finished all of that too. I wish I could have more of this. I like that the strawberry flavour doesn’t taste artificial or like plastic and the rosemary isn’t overpowering at all. I also get a subtle hint of yoghurt creamy flavour that compliments this tea well. Overall, I really liked this one and would buy it again if it came back.

I know many DT fans tend to go for the “strawberry rhubarb parfait”…but stacked against each other I enjoy this infusion way better. The rosemary totally works. The hibiscus does not overpower. There is no sour yogurt taste like the SRP has. I think they are discontinuing this one soon so it is time to stock up if you like this one too!

I can’t decide if I like Wild Strawberry or Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait more. They’re both so similar. Berry teas are often too sour/tart for me, but I like both of the above mentioned blends, because they taste like sweet, ripe strawberries. Wild Strawberry isn’t quite as sweet or creamy as Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait, but it’s still fairly sweet. There’s a little bit of an herbal edge to this, but just a tiny hint, and it’s not quite as creamy, thick or syrupy as Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait. It’s like this one is ‘candied, ripe strawberry’ and the other is ‘CANDY strawberry!!’ with caps and exclamation points. It’s easier to overdo Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait and make it too strong and thick, but Wild Strawberry is just easier to casually enjoy and tastes more quiet and subtle, if that makes sense. Still, they’re both very similar…

I didn’t think I would like this one (I mean really, hibiscus and rosemary?), but I do. It’s a bit heavier on the hibiscus than I would like, but I still wouldn’t call it sour – just tart. I don’t taste cream per se, but I think I kind of sense it in that it mellows out the tartness. I agree with the person who said they weren’t sure if they were tasting strawberry or just all the other fruity stuff. But honestly, I rather like it and I am surprised by that!

The smell made me question if I’d enjoy it or not (it’s not awful, just not what I was expecting), but YUM! I definitely get strawberry and cream in there. Neither too sweet nor too tart (though I’ve added a bit of honey, as I do with pretty well all my teas) – yum!

I’m not sure about this one… I’ve had it twice as an iced tea and there’s something different about it. I like that it’s not as tart as SRP is, but maybe it’s the rosemary that’s making it weird for me. I have yet to try this hot. When I drank it today I found it sort of tasted like strawberry yogourt…

Sipdown (338?)

I enjoyed this and so did Gizmo however it’s close enough in taste to Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait that id probably just drink that. Plus this has a stevia quality at the end that I don’t like.

Tried this iced and find that it tastes a lot like DavidsTea Strawberry Rhubard Parfait tea. I wasn’t a huge fan of that one and was glad I used up one of my free tea coupons to try it. I wish they would make up bolder unique blends instead of tinkering with similar blends that they already sell.
