Ashmanra’s Sipdown Challenge | February 2023 | National Latte Day: Make a latte!

I was a few days behind on making a latte, and then a few more days behind on logging it, but here we are! I definitely don’t have my latte proportions down, because this was very heavy on the not-milk! I’ll keep my rating the same.

2023 sipdown count: 21/75

Made this iced and topped it with brown sugar cinnamon cold foam and it’s ok but mostly just cinnamon and black tea.

2022 Spring Tea Swap – Day 21
From Emilie!

I was hoping for more of an almond/amaretto flavor, but I’m mostly tasting the cinnamon. I do also get somewhat of an oats or oatmeal flavor, perhaps that is the brioche aspect coming through. This isn’t my favorite of the Dessert by Deb teas I’ve tried so far, but it’s certainly not bad. It was a touch bitter in the beginning but the addition of cream helped with that considerably.

Another one from the sub box.

This is going into my rehoming box, as I don’t enjoy almond extract/marzipan-type flavorings in tea – I tend to find it cloying. Marzipan is the main flavor here, and it’s accented by sweet and warming cinnamon. I don’t really taste coconut at all. It’s also a bit sweet for me, which is a common issue with Deb’s teas.

But I’m sure someone else will enjoy it, so I’ll put it aside for a swap or TTB. :)

Drank this at the same time as Banana Gingerbread Waffles; cannot remember which was which, but I wasn’t a big fan of either. Will try again later.
