From Kirkland Signature

Kirkland Signature Green Tea is made with Sencha Green Tea from Japan’s lush tea plantations, known for producing some of the best teas in the world. In keeping with Japanese tradition, Kirkland Signature Green Tea is gently steamed, rolled and then dried. This minimal processing stops the oxidation and preserves the freshness, aroma and color of the tea leaf.

Matcha, a green tea powder made from specially harvested leaves is added to enhance flavor and taste.

I was planning on doing some oolong tasting today, but I’ve been looking for my wallet all day, and didn’t want the tea to go cold. This stuff though, I don’t really mind if it’s cold.

I used to really enjoy this one, but now it’s not so special. A little honey makes it nicer.

Hopefully I find my wallet soon, I’m starting to get worried about it. I don’t even know when it disappeared. I carry all my cards and stuff in a small magic wallet, but that bigger one has all my insurance cards and stuff in it, so I really should have kept better track of it.

Had it while waiting for car service. Its pretty good….not the best green tea ever but not the worst. Has an odd dust when removed out of package.

I would not buy a box myself.

Gotta love those office Christmas parties, eh? This was my secret santa’s idea of an ideal gift for me.

It’s not bad! (which is a good thing, since I now have SO.MUCH. of it) It’s a standard green tea flavor; mild, not exactly bland, but it doesn’t really blow my skirt up, either. I’ve learned that I don’t like to drink it until the loose matcha dumped from the packet settles to the bottom. Drinking the loose matcha gives the tea an instant tea mouth feel that I find unpleasant, but the flavor itself is better with than without it.

For a bag tea to have on hand its EXCELLENT. I have been drinking loose whole leaf teas for some time and this tea is comparable and even better than some of the more expensive loose green teas. I think gyokuro is one of the finer green teas and the taste of this kirkland tea is surprisingly similar.
In my opinion, those who are claiming this tea is so so are fooling themselves simply because it comes in a bag.
give it a try.

I have this tea whenever I go to my friends house, or whenever we have to travel for work. This is probably my favorite bagged green tea – heck it’s one of my favorite green teas period. It’s pretty light and even a bit sweet, taste wise, and doesn’t leave a grassy aftertaste that I’m used to with a lot of plain green teas. I love the mix of the tea leaves and the matcha.

I’m definitely making someone run to costco for me and pick some of this stuff up.

Honestly I tend to prefer loose leaf tea; however, this tea is my favorite variety of bagged green tea. I can steep this tea for ever and it never gets bitter, simply amazing. With the addition of the matcha, and in consuming the whole leaf of that green tea variety, it leads to much greater yield of the L-Theanine amino acid, that is so coveted by tea-drinkers for its profoundly calming and yet focused influence over the mind. By the time there is just a single sip left in the mug, it is mostly some slightly sweet matcha and after it is drained, the ensuing mental clarity will follow you around for hours.
