Six Famous Tea MountainsWell, so far this week, I’ve watched a chain saw artist sculpt a dinosaur, hiked up stairs equivalent to the height of Taum Sauk Mountain, hugged kids wearing ponchos drenched with neon paint, shopped for guitar picks, listened to a room of screaming kids exceed the decibel level of tornado sirens, and carried children’s dirty socks in my bare hands….so at this point, I’m not especially picky about what I drink!
So normally, I wouldn’t have even considered the Milo’s unsweet tea in gallon jugs offered at the VBS volunteer canteen, but desperate times call for desperate measures. And I was pleasantly surprised. It tasted like tea without being acidic or unpleasantly sharp. I’m going to add it to the “it’ll do” list next time I need a grab-n-go quickie-mart beverage.
Milo’s is very underrated. It’s the only bottled tea that tastes homemade.
I’m not sure I’ve seen it in anything but gallon containers around here, but I intend to keep my eye out. Do you have McAlister’s Deli restaurants anywhere nearby? Their iced tea is the best offering on the menu—brewed in-house and always tastes fresh.
